Café Du Parc takes its inspiration from its neighbour, the Killarney National Park. It is a café from early morning serving delicious light bites transformed into a hip cocktail bar by night, accompanied by funky tunes.
The reason I chose this eatery was because too many restaurants in Killarney open at 5pm for dinner and I am one of those people who have two meals a day and like to eat before 6pm. I was not disappointed and the waitress went out of her way to be helpful when I questioned her about the menu, which is not extensive, but caters for a wide range of tastes. It was worth the chat as I received EXACTLY what I ordered, which was a fillet of fish on a beetroot bun, with a lovely piquant salad. It was delicious and came with a mountain of skinny chips made from real potato. I washed it down with a glass or two of Chardonnay and should have had a bottle as I wasn't driving. It was good, filling fare at a reasonable price, served with a sunny smile. The ambiance is NOT IRISH, it is European and this may be their strength as the "top of the morning Irishness" of Killarney can be overwhelming. I enjoyed the banter with the waitress, the gentle hum of chatter and would have stayed longer but the clouds were threatening to burst at any minute. Keep up the great work folks and thank you for a lovely meal. If I am in Killarney again, I will pop back.Hi Julie A,What a great Review!Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience at Café Du Parc,I'm really glad to read that you found our colleagues so helpful in their interactions with you and the fillet of fish was served to you exactly as you ordered,It's a pity you did not have the time to stay longer and enjoy some more Chardonnay but hopefully when you pop back in you will have more timeThank again Julie,Kind Regards,The Café Du Parc Team

Whilst in Killarney killing time I decided to have breakfast at the Curious Cat restaurant. I arrived and it was half full and the food looked tasty. I chose to have the breakfast bruschetta which came with sourdough toast, mushrooms, bacon, egg, black pudding and baked beans on the side, all washed down with a flat white using their specialty coffee. The whole meal was delicious and the servers very helpful. The price reasonable for the quality and portion size. Would recommend it as a solid choice for breakfast!

We have just arrived to the place. While my friend was buying coffee, I was eating at the balcony checking emails. Suddenly one of the employees, probably the owner of the place, began bothering me and picking into my bag, claiming I was about to eat my own food on his property. I told him I was waiting for my friend, which was just coming up with coffee and the guy literally put his head into my belongings , touching my stuff and started to state loudly in public that I was about to eat my stuff there. This was never the case. Not only this person made an unbiased accusation, which he should not do, the way he invaded our privacy is unacceptable. So as it was very unplseant to stay at such a place, we have decided to leave the place and were again humiliated when asked for a refund for the coffeee we did not have - only after raising my voice at the place I got a refund. Poor service and poor customer perspective. On top of it all, the owner, who was clearly not willing to take responsibility and at least apologize, went after us as outside the restaurant, took photos of us and our car, threatening he would send our names to the police (weâre still wondering on what accusation really, but that was the ungreat finale to this all farce). We were terribly humiliated in front of all the other customers, and we still wonder why. Sent from my iPhone

We happened to walk past, and the Sunday brunch menu pulled us In. The place looked cute, and there was a local family eating and celebrating a First Communion so we could not resist. We were so happy we stopped in! The food was EXCELLENT! Everything was so fresh and well prepared. I had the eggs Benedict, and the eggs and brioche were some of the best I have had. The fried chicken sandwich was also a huge hit. Do not be misled by my description as a âfried chickenâ sandwich. It was a large piece of perfectly cooked fresh chicken with savory accompaniments. The guys in our group were losing their minds over the chips, and they are self-proclaimed fry experts. If you are in the area, you would be remiss to skip this restaurant. It is the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch.

This is cafeteria style food but was surprisingly good. You can get cold or hot food. We elected cold food because the line was for hot food was too long. Our sandwiches were delicious, it was crowded when we went, so table was hard to find because the staff cleans up your meal, you donât bus your own table. You may be very hungry when you come here, but be patient.

We stopped at this peaceful location for lunch as part of our tour group. The staff was wonderful, getting us in and out quickly. The food was good and the staff was very attentive to our needs. After lunch, we were able to stroll through the beautiful grounds where they grow many items included in the meals. The attached gift shop was very nice and had a large selection of items. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.
