Things to do in Freshwater
We stopped at Beach Cafe 34 for a drink whilst spending the afternoon in Shanklin. We didn't have anything to eat, but had milkshakes and coffees which went down a treat. It was lovely sitting outside next to the sea. We will definitely come back again next time we're in Shanklin.Thank you for leaving us a positive review! So glad you enjoyed your coffee and milkshakes sitting by the sea. We look forward to seeing you again x

I cant say we weren't warned our food would be late from the moment we got there The staff were genuine and lovely people but a customer doesn't want to hear your excuses for bad management however apologetic you are , It was august bank holiday week and the sun was out so a bit obvious it would get busier .. We were told 20mins in reality 40 mins and there only seemed to be one cook who also served so maybe the allocation of duties wasn't right. . But the food was freshly made and lovely and the place was refreshingly quaint and within a local small museum. Freshwater beach is very beautiful and unspoilt and mins from this what could be a very special place too.

I last visited here a year ago (I live by London), so I went here today with my Mum and Dad as we had just taken photographs at Freshwater Bay (huge storm pounding the beaches). Anyway, I digress.Last year the food, service and atmosphere was brilliant and once again a year on the food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. The young girl behind the counter was lovely and they even gave me a flake in my hot chocolate because marshmallows are not vegetarian.Overall, a great visit again. FYI, we had the bacon on pancakes with poached egg and maple syrup, fish cake and also the mozzarella and pesto panini. All delicious. Will we be back. Yes for sure but don't know when. This is a lovely little cafe and all worth a visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the dandelion cafe. The service was really quick, despite it being busy. The views across the bay are amazing. The food presentation is excellent. The only fault I can think of is that they have the horrible little sachets of condiments. Bottles or dishes would be much more in keeping with the rest of the beautiful presentation of table cloths etc.I will definitely go again.

A very relaxed cafe, run by friendly and engaged staff, and offering a great menu. The cafe is spread across a number of rooms in this very old building and hence has character and a space for every taste. Highly recommended.

This used to be the final stop for the old steam railway. It now has a log cabin feel inside rather than a station but the walls are decorated with railway memorabilia. Nice views in the summer when sitting outside. BUT they DONT charge the earth. Thatâs why there is locals here as well as tourists. Had a breakfast and tea. Not 5 stars but still very good.
