Things to do in Ballycastle
A good basic cafe with great coffee and tasty daily specials.
It was pouring with rain on a day when many other places were closed in Ballycastle and we stumbled into Taisies. Simple home-cooked food. As veggies, often our choice is limited but we were very happy with the lovely warming leek and potato soup with a chunk of bread. Good value
We are a small family ran business situated in Ballycastle Garden Centre, Castle Street, Ballycastle. Free car parking available from the rear entrance. We serve a range of homemade foods and traybakes etc. Which include a wide range if gluten free produc
Through the Garden Centre on Castle Street, you'll find yet another Ballycastle eatery to please your palate! Our first visit today and we were delighted. A relaxed venue, rustic, cosy, yet modern, with comfy armchairs upstairs. Wonderful food freshly made, alongside a good variety of salads - I only wish we had had room to also sample the lovely looking traybakes but we'll be back! Set in the quirky and intimate garden centre with it's lovely selection of well kept flowers and plants, I came away with a plant as well! With parking so convenient at the back, you'll find the access very convenient if you drive down the street at the side of the Eurospar which is at the top of Castle Street.
Broughgammon is an award winning, forward thinking family farm, artisan butchery, shop and cafe offering farm tours, supper clubs, artisan food classes and a peak into the workings of a sustainable small holding. Investing in regenerative farming practice
I have sampled their unique meat products at other restaurants on the North Coast and found them thoroughly tasty. The Broughgammon black pudding is lovely. While others I have sampled are highly spiced, overly salty and greasy this one is perfect and goes down well on its own or as a condiment for chicken.

On a photography holiday so we were up and out at 05:00 in the morning to get to some locations, headed back to Ballycastle for breakfast, had already read the reviews for Our Dollys, warm welcome followed by an excellent breakfast.

This is a busy little spot and we can see why. We tried and shared two traybakes and each had a London fog (earl grey latte with vanilla syrup - if youâve never had one, try it!!) and all were spot on. Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere is nice.

I usually go to the café across the road but decided to give this one a go. The staff were lovely and friendly and the small fry was delicious. I have friends who insist on coming here for breakfast and I can see why. Thanks for the lovely grub, great start to the day.

Thyme&Co is a distinctive, stylish café open since 2007 in the heart of the Ballycastle in the Glens of Antrim. It has earned a following for the delicious home-made flavours of their food, which is based on locally-sourced ingredients as far as possible
Popped in for breakfast on Sunday a short while ago. Arrived five minutes after opening and lots of tables already taken. Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and varied menu. We opted for French Toast with maple syrup and bacon. Hadnât long to wait and was just what we wanted....good quality bacon and generously eggy toast! We noticed what some others were eating and everything looked very appetising. Reasonably priced. Can highly recommend.

We just had coffee and a beautiful scone made on the premises by a very friendly owner Teresa and the place is very clean and really the menu was very extensive and I will be returning in the not too distant future to treat myself to a more substantial meal and judging by the meals we saw being served they all looked really good.Well done to Teresa and all the hard working staff.
