For eco-tourists who crave adventure there are few places better than Parque Nacional Corcovado, a biodiverse smorgasbord of tropical rainforest, coastline and wildlife. Puerto Jimenez is a great base for those who wish to explore the park via one of several local touring companies, but it’s also got its own thing going on, including an impressive wildlife sanctuary, some lovely restaurants and an excellent local crafts shop.

Cabinas Tropicales offers you great value in the heart of Puerto Jimenez, only minutes from the beach and close to the center of town!
Nice place, roomy and nice rooms with hot shower, aircon and fan. Kitchen and fridge for everybody to use. Free bikes. The owner Marc was very friendly and helpful! He is from Florida so he speaks perfect english. He and his helpful and nice son Lee organized the whole trip to corcovado for us and made our stay a nice experience. They gave us many useful tips for our stay. They now have also two boats to sirena ranger station! So Puerto Jimenez is the best spot to go to the park. They have a bakery, a gas station, two grocery stores and working ATMs. There are not too many permissions to access the park so make shure to get them before you go. We definitely recommend Marcs Place and would love to come again. Don't forget your shoes outside, Laika - the lovely puppy dog loves to hide them ;o) Thank you for your nice place and your advice.

El Mirador Osa is located 18 kilometers from finca Alajuela school. We have 6 bungalows with private bathroom, AC, TV skype, wifi, 1 double bed and 2 single beds and nice view from Golfo Dulce Lake and Rio Sierpe lagoon.
We stopped there on our way to Puerto Jiminez only because it was getting dark, and we didn't really want to drive on the Costa Rican roads at night. Great spot and very nice owner and staff. It was a pleasant surprise. I would stay there again. The supper and breakfast that we had were home cooked and very good.

Apartments with Furniture and kitchenette. Satellite TV, Air Conditioning, Parking, Free Internet Wi-Fi
We stayed here before heading on a 3 day trip to Sirena. The wood furniture in the apartment was beautiful. Alberto was great - he even allowed us to leave our rental car and luggage at his place while we were gone. We appreciated that the property has a locking gate since we were leaving our belongings there.

Cabo Matapalo is the place where the rainforest and the sea meet, and was recently named one of the most ecological beaches around the world
Where do I even begin? The magic of this resort lied within the people who were there to take care of us. Angelica, Felipe and Felipe were WONDERFUL hosts, laid back, fun and made our experience what it was. You've never tasted real food, until you've eaten a meal prepped by their hands. The food was filled with love and magic - Our rooms and the house was cleaned everyday and the property is very well maintained. Our hosts were wonderful to work with and they took care of all of our needs. Tip: Grab snacks and soda from the local market before you get to the resort. They come in handy for snacking between meals! Thank you for the beautiful experience!
