good small hotel with excellent host
Reviewed By christinakeilWe only stayed one night but the host made us feel incredibly welcome and gave us lots of tips on what to do, where to eat ect. The room was quite small but neat, tidy and clean. The breakfast is excellent for a hotel of this size. Not the cheapest for the room size but would certainly go back if I was in the area.

Nice, basic hotel

Though quite far from the center of Klagenfurt, the location was good for me - a bit under 2 km to the university and less than 250 m to a decent Billa supermarket as well as to a bus stop from which a bus goes to the main train station. The view from the room was not important for me (my room overlooked a parking lot but was still quiet). Breakfast wasn't quite my thing, with eggs being the only hot item and no lox or other kinds of fish except some sort of tuna spread the composition of which they couldn't give me detailed info on. But all in all, I was happy with my choice and would choose the Weidenhof again if I go back to Klagenfurt and don't need to be in the city center.

Friendly Convenient Hotel
Reviewed By walt101I stayed here with a few friends in June to tackle Ironman Austria. Peter, his wife and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit dated, the decor tired, and there's no bells and whistles, so if you want plush, this isn't it. But if you want a hotel that's got decent parking, is clean and comfy, with wonderfully friendly staff, and a reasonable location, then you could do a lot worse than Alpen Adria. As an Ironman hopeful, having a bike friendly hotel (bikes in room), a breakfast at 4am on race day, and one that's a 10 min ride, or 5 min cab ride from Transition then this place ticks the boxes. That Peter organised a few Pizzas for us to eat in the hotel's bar at 11:30pm the day after the race when we couldn't find anywhere open from the Pizzeria next door, to me is indicative of them being super friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was so delicious and they respect our religions that’s we don’t eat pork so they prepare special meal for us! The family will welcome you with so much love I really feel lucky to be there ❤️
