Such a beautiful beach, family friendly, even with little kids. Perfect for a job from one end to the other. Highly recommend seeing the sites if you are visiting the area.

We were thrilled to find this quiet beach away from the much busier parts of Nelson Bay. Pitched our tent and relaxed in peace for the day. Beach was clean, water was a little choppy but that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves.

Once you park the car up from the Tomaree Head carpark you follow the fire trail for about 25 mins until you get to the beautiful, usually isolated beach. Great flannel flowers on the way. Beach is very picturesque and a great place to experience a quiet swim away from the crowds.

the most beautiful place. when you arrive at the beach you see an immensity of sand and clear water, when you walk to the end of the beach you see the meeting of beaches and you feel energized sitting between them

Probably one of the best spots in the area: the beach is sheltered, clean, surrounded by a large grassy area with tables and toilets/showers. On one side the "pelican area", on the other a kids' playground (plus a seafood restaurant for the adults). We spotted dolphins at about 20 metres from the beach, magical. There's a little shop selling fish and chips, burgers and ice cream. Otherwise you can walk up the hill and be at the lighthouse with its cafes.

Absolutely lovely spot. Enjoyed a swim and a turn in the kayak. Protected beach with a lovely view. Awesome!
