We'd been to the Canal Street Grill years ago and weren't impressed. People in out Manteca neighborhood were raving about the oplace, so we gave it another try for a light dinner. My wife had the blackened prime rib sandwitch and I had the Reuben. Bother were very good and I liked the home made chips. We'll definitely be back for a full dinner soon.

The food is just ok. Very salty tasting wings. But the place is like a big box, the noise has no where to go. Why to loud for our family. Won't be back here.

Nice atmosphere and decor. Beef tacos and cod tacos plenty and delicious. Molcajete giant and tasty. Queso Fundido with chorizo was fabulous. Busy place and service still pretty good. Very nice menu selection and drink menu. In big strip mall, parking parking in front.

I ran in for a quick lunch before a meeting. I hoped up to the bar and ordered coffee (it was cold out) and soup and wings. Everything was delicious and the server was very friendly. I will come back with a group of friends

The food was good but the service was so slow we could have ordered a pizza and eaten it before dinner. The servers were over worked and rushed and there was people waiting to be seated and there were tables open and no one seated at them.

We visited this establishment for lunch on our way to visit relatives in the area. Altho we had been here before, and gave a somewhat bland review, it seems that they have improved. We had good service, nice selection of drinks, and the pot stickers and bone-in wings were excellent. Definitely worth the visit.

Two of us arrived at 11.30 for lunch. The waitress was friendly and greeted us immediately. We explained we were waiting for a third person to arrive, so declined repeated efforts by the waitress to order. Our friend finally arrived at noon, by which time the waitress was evidently otherwise occupied. She finally came by to take our orders perhaps 20 minutes later. Forty minutes later we still did not have our food. She explained there was some kind of problem with the grilled chicken. We told her to bring the other dishes. My friend's chicken sandwich was good, though the fries were cold. My clam chowder soup was excellent, the Cesar salad mediocre. Finally the grilled chicken salad arrived, it was tasty. The sour dough rolls were good. To her credit the waitress repeatedly apologized for the delays.

My daughter and I stopped here on our drive home from Chico to San Diego. The choices were amazing, we had to find reviews to help us pick. I got the tri-tip sandwich(Chimichuri Melt) which had awsome flavor combination and just the right meat to bread ratio. My daughter had the California Salad and it was excellent. We loved the casual but nice atmosphere and our waitress was soo nice, friendly, smiley, happy. We got our food very fast and I could not have asked for a better experience for what we were doing that evening. If in Modesto again, I will be going here. Plus it is right next to a Costco, so you can stop, have a reasonably quick and excellent dinner, then fill your tank for the rest of the journey. Easy access off freeway!
