Beer, Whisky and a stunning view on the Menin Gate. Fresh made vegetable soup and home made ham & cheese toasties for the hungry ones. 5 different draught beers, 20 bottle beers and 4 ciders to choose from. French wines, different liquors and 85 different
Just next to the Menin gate is the Ypra inn, some nice memorial inside, great service, good choices of alcohol and a pleasant way to end our visit.

Would love to have tasted their offerings but after waiting nearly 15 minutes on the patio and being ignored by passing wait staff, we left. It wasn't busy and some of the wait staff were merely clearing tables. I'd heard good things about the place but not an impressive first impression.

Cuisine fait maison, on retrouve tous les standards de la cuisine des estaminets flamands. Prix ok, que ce soit pour les bières ou les plats. Service sympa. Un bémol : la salle/l'ambiance. Manque de charme.

We used the Saint Arnoldus bar several times during our short trip to Ypres either for a drink after watching the âLast Postâ ceremony at the Menin Gate and also on another occasion for a quick snack. The bar is about midway between the market square and the Menin Gate and on entering the visitor finds themselves in a long bar area stretching back to an open garden area at the rear. The bar has a very good selection of beers on tap and I tried the âWipers x14â Belgian beer which was quite refreshing. The bar area had a good âvibeâ about it and was being used by both British tourists and also what appeared to be locals which is always a good sign. Looking for a snack one afternoon we also sampled the toasties on offer here and found these to be both tasty and satisfying.Would most certainly visit here again if we were in the area and recommend it to others.

Felt a bit like Hyacinth Bouquet... having a pot of tea with friends. Lovely lady and a wonderful view on the hills.

Having arrived late Sunday afternoon in Bailleul France we had already booked De Bralle as we knew everything in the town is closed on Sunday. We found a warm welcome and sat on the terrace overlooking farmland. My wife ordered duck breast with cod for myself. Both came nicely presented with potatoes and vegetables. A decent house wine rounded off a delicious meal. My wife's portion of duck was huge. It didn't get wasted.Service was good with the owner speaking excellent English.Thank you very much for the kind words, hope to see you again!regards Salima
