Visited this place for lunch whilst in Pereybere beach on a recent Mauritius holiday.First impressions are that it is not very clean and a bit run down. Anyway with the stunning view across the beach we thought we would give it a try. We ordered drinks. A beer for myself and a soft drink for my wife. After asking twice where they were they arrived eventually after about 20 minutes. I ordered a panini but my wife decided not to eat. Whilst we were sitting there we noticed meals going to tables and people sending them back as it wasnt what they ordered. Not a good sign.When it came to mine I watched my panini go to the table next to us where the people there lifted the top to see what was inside. Of course they sent it back where it came straight over to me.I REFUSED the meal as any sane diner would. I paid for the drinks and walked out.The place could be something with the location and view it has and proper management and trained staff. It is closer to a Mauritian Fawlty Towers as it is.

Once a former upmarket seafood restaurant, the owner of Maverick's has turned the location into a relaxed bar, right on the waters edge. We have enjoyed the afternoon sun, listening to excellent life music, sipping coffee, beer and good cocktails, and ordered some excellent bites (chicken burger, octopus salad and chili crevettes).All the while the barkepper and the owner both kept us entertained with bar games and fun conversation. We could borrow some beach towles for a quick dip in the bay in front of the bar and had a shower to rinse off.When we left at 8:00 pm, we all agreed: what a fun afternoon we had!

I stayed here in December after 2 awful experiences in rented apartments. This hotel is lovely, new, very clean and not very expensive.The family running the hotel are lovely and nothing was too much for them. Been wanting to visit this restaurant since moving to the North and finally had the chance last week. The owner of the restaurant greeted us the moment we walked in. The service overall is really good and the owner makes her rounds to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied with their food. The menu is undergoing changes, so the available items, new and old, were described and some recommendations made. We opted for a stuffed calamari starter, which was just lovely and fresh. Mains were lamb shank and the pork ribs. Both dishes were very big and we could not finish it. I would recommend the restaurant, even if it is just for the lamb shank! I will definitely be back.

My new favourite restaurant.We had the calamar croustillant to start.The calamari was soft and the batter crispy.Ordered lovely wine that by Mauritian standards was reasonably priced.We had the chicken and prawn curry and a burger .Both delicious.We will definitely go back!!!Thank you Orizn for a great meal.

The sitting area was lovely, with a view of the sea outside Grand Baie. Unfortunatly we had a terrible experience with the service. We got our drinks fairly quickly, but waited almost an hour before our food arrived. The club sandwich and bruschetta was underwhelming, and sadly, not worth the wait. Also, when we finished our drinks, we did not get offered new ones. The staff was not very service minded. Would not reccomend.

I STRONGLY recommend this place! Starting from the super good food, the location, the pleasant atmosphere and vibe, live music, such a welcoming staff, a beautiful place without forgetting the fantastic sky view at the sky bar upstairs! It's a must go!!The perfect place to chill with the view on the bay whether you go during the day or at night! No words! Such a good service, the best in Grand Bay so far! Thank you Beach House!

This place has different settings - small tables, big tables, sofas and chairs. It's very cozy for sure. We were there for lunch, it must be fun at night.Food was unfortunately just average and service was definitely not friendly - at least towards us. Our server sounded a lot friendlier and smilier towards a group of French speaking patrons. With us she hardly said any words - and language shouldn't have been a barrier as I can speak some French but because of her attitude I didn't even feel encouraged to try.All in all worth a visit, maybe you'll get better service! =]
