We arrived on a blustery Friday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was empty and we wondered if this was an omen. Fortunately, it was not! The staff were friendly and helpful, welcoming and polite. We ordered plates to share (girls like to do this) and I can only sing high praise for the chef: chicken livers to start - juicy and not overcooked with enough spice to waken the palate; fish platter - yellow tail, mussels, calamari and prawns - chips too. Delicious. Parking easy as it was still early but, by the time we left, rather congested in the area.

Polana in Kalk Bay has a large reputation. But it has closed down. This is probably a very good thing. I cannot in good conscience give any rear view review on this establishment. The square meterage of Polana is currently undergoing renovation. It will be engulfed by Harbour Hoise staff there told us.

Tigerâs Milk is the best destination for âdude foodâ, made good. Our menu takes pizza, grills, burgers and beer to the next level. Weâre big on bringing friends together over mouthwatering food, ice-cold drinks, and a fun night out. Tigerâs Milk Muizenber
On Saturday (5th Oct 2019), three of my family members and I visited Tiger's Milk in Muizenberg. The steps looked a little daunting on entering the restaurant, but once in one was immediately greeted by friendly staff faces, wide restaurant spaces, great decor and fabulous music. The drinks took a long time - even though our waiter was a charming and friendly individual. The food took very long to arrive (hence the 4 star rating and not the 5 star rating this place deserves) - but wow, when it did arrive, we were impressed by the portions and the taste of the food. We each ordered something different, and I could not finish my rib and wings platter. We loved the food so much, that we ordered more food to take away (for dinner), as well as takeaway dessert ... because we were just too full to have anything more at the time. During the time we were there, the restaurant completely filled out - a testament, no doubt, of their popularity and relevancy. We will definitely be back, multiple times. Fantastic to hear such great feedback from you Kurt, thank you for taking the time to share this with us and the Tripadvisor community. We cannot wait to have you back and serve you more of our delicious Dude Food.Benjamin and the Tiger's Milk Team

The Octopus' Garden Restaurant gets its inspiration from the Beatles song. Ringo Starr was inspired by the tendency of Octopi to collect shells & stones to create an environment/ 'Garden' in which they live 'Under the Sea'. A warm, quirky eclectic vibe, w
How this restaurant has a rating of 4.5 is beyond me. Very limited menu: only pizza. Didn't have many of the ingredients for the limited menu. Service diabolical or non-existent. Then. The wait. Food took an hour and a half and only appeared when I threatened to leave. Another big table left while I was complaining, they hadn't even been served! Apparently a chef hadn't pitched up but that doesn't explain the limited menu and lack of ingredients. So many good restaurants in Cape Town. Please don't bother with this one. Used to be good and now? No. Just no. I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience. When did you visit the restaurant? I would like to follow up as this is not the norm. Also, in winter we cut back our a la carte menu as we battle to keep all our ingredients fresh for a full menu.

Hubby and I were travelling as part of a group and our scheduled lunch stop was Dixies Restaurant. Please keep in mind that this review is NOT based on the menu as a whole but rather what we were offered as a group meal.We were served hake and it was VERY underwhelming. For many of the people in our group the fish wasn't even cooked and in fact, one of our travellers ended up getting sick.I will say that the food that was being ordered off the menu at other tables looked good as it was being served but I can't say the same about our meal.NO, we wouldn't go back.We are terribly sorry to hear of your experience at Dixies. Please could you provide us with the date that you visited Dixies so that we can do an internal investigation. It is a pity, that this was not reported to management on the day so that we could have rectified this issue immediately. Once again, we apologise profusely.
