During the day we had some great chips from there,BUT went back at night for 4 lots of fish and chips, TERRIBLE, crumbed layer burnt with the inside full of water. Most of us throw it into the bin....

Staff were polite and the menu is upmarket for a pub setting, we enjoyed our share of most items from the menu and we weren't disappointed everything was simply divine, we had the seafood which was fresh and delicious. Kid friendly this place is somewhere to visit if your in Evans Head.

This little restaurant is the Northern Rivers best kept secret. For the 5th time I have visited i again was treated to an absolutely amazing Sunday lunch. Started with the mini seafood plattter, then the most amazing Portuguese Chicken, so succulent and the flavour was to die for, finishing with a Bacardi Panacotta wifh caramelised walnuts and some other stuff. Just yumm & more yumm Oh yeah the service was amazing as well. Hey locals you don't know what you are missing out on.

Nostalgic Evans Head Fishermens Coop located on the beautiful Evans Head River is serviced by a fleet of professional fishermen supplying fresh seafood such as Prawns, Crabs and a large variety of Fish to the public. We also have an amazing Hot Fish and C
Really, really disappointed i have to do this review as this is a place I frequently visit. The first time I came here with my wife was excellent, really nice fish & chips, the second time, nearly as good as the first but the fish was a little over grilled. The last time it was just terrible! It went straight into the bin, it was that bad. Now I know I should of taken it back & demanded my money back but we had driven away. The chips were only warm & limp, the fish was way over cooked & dry, really dry & they must of cooked the fish on a slice of lemon as that was just a black burnt ring of lemon sitting on the dry fillet! I really hope this was a one off event because if they are serving this up to tourist at holiday time word will soon get around. Unfortunately they have lost my business.

The friendly service and the location are all I enjoyed about this cafe.My scrambled eggs were well overcooked and delivered minus the promise sed tomato on the menu. The coffee was passable. I wanted to order some cake but I could barely see through the greasy smears on the cake fridge glass - a real turn off. The smell of frying food! Not recommended.

The Sandbar and Restaurant opened its doors to the public on March 2017. We are a French-Italian cuisine based upstairs in the Evans Head- Casino Surf Life Saving Club. The venue is a great location right on the beach looking over the Sea and very popular
My wife and I came here a couple of times during our visit because the view is just unbelievable and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a beautiful meal from the restaurant for a friends gathering and would like to compliment the Chef for a job well done.

There were 4 of us in our group, we just stopped for a coffee & Milkshake. The staff were great & very friendly. My hubby says the coffee was one of the best he has ever had. My friends & I had Milkshakes they were beautiful, so cold & chocolatey & creamy. Thanks guys we will be back.
