I don't usually think that a strip mall Chinese restaurant is going to make an impression on me, either bad or good. I've stopped at several without feeling the need to post to Tripadvisor at all.China Wok was a nice exception. The menu was standard fare, but the help was fun and actually conversational. I only grabbed a pint of chicken lo mein to take out, but it was very, very good. Just the right amount of flavor, plenty of chicken, and an appropriate sauce-to-noodle ratio.

My wife discovered this place and it is a very enjoyable introduction to Korean cooking.I like the wife and husband teamwork, that allowed the orders to move along quickly. The cooking and taste of the meals were pleasant and a healthy reward for the willingness to be adventurous. They do have a good range of price options. If you are in downtown Sanford and feel for Korean cooking then please look them up and enjoy the experience.

I ordered here based on several positive reviews on Google. I was very hopeful, as we havenât found a great Chinese place locally. Unfortunately, it wasnât any better than the rest. Now sure if the steam from the takeout removed all the sauce, but when I got home (just a few miles), all of the sauce was very watery and the breaded chicken was just sitting in in. The General Tso wasnât great either. On the positive side, I will say that the chicken was fresh and not like the frozen stuff you get at most restaurants. Also, the portions are large. May consider stopping one day for lunch, but probably wonât do takeout again.

We have been here several times, mostly for lunch. Service has always been good. There is a good selection on the buffet and they offer a bit of everything. Prices are reasonable. They do offer more seafood selections during dinner time at a slightly higher cost than lunch but you have a bigger selection of shrimp, prawns, blue crab for instance. Crab legs are an additional charge.

Yabi Sushi is a gem! The prices, affordable and the portions gigantic. Always fresh and made to order. The staff very friendly. This time we had a challenges with our server because of language barriers but overall good. I highly recommend to visit this small, little place because have a lot to offer.

What a lovely restaurant! Decided to try it since it always seemed busy! We should have experienced it sooner! The meal was fabulous! Our waitress was very friendly the service was quick and even the owner thanked us for coming in and invited us back. The meals are ordered by number we had #35 (Vietnamese rice chicken and veggies) and it was mentioned that #23 & #25 are the most popular. The portions were huge. Soups are in a huge bowl. You can't go wrong dining here. This little gem is definitely golden here in Sanford!!

Tempura was excellent and the glass of wine was good and generous. The fried rice and noodles were lacking vegetables and decent size shrimp. We should have stuck with the special, grilled red snapper.

Lucky to come in here when their "Early Bird Menu" Special's were in effect which were offered up to 6pm. Appetizer of small slices of Spring Roll was $4, the California Roll at $6 and all 3 Nigiri , I chose, were priced the same @$4 so, it was a relative bargain compared to the regular dinner Menu. For Sanford, Fl. I thought this menu was priced a bit high vs. the size of the Sashimi. Agreed with other reviewers the Miso Soup was totally bland, almost like dishwater and not worth ordering. Almost could taste the detergent in the mix from the spartan dishes :) All the Sashimi was fresh and displayed nicely. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and appears very clean. The Service, by only one server, was exemplary and they have Sapporo Beer on tap which was a nice touch. They also feature BudLight on Tap which somehow didn't seem to fit the format. However, they have a impressive selection of 'other' beers (not SingHa). Dinner came in at $40+ tip which I thought was a bit much but, hey~ you only die once. I'd rate 'Maru' at a non-existent rating of: ~Between~ Average and Good. Domo Arigato
