Shan State, Myanmar Food Guide: 6 Chinese food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Kalaw
The restaurant is situated in a side street not far from the jetty and does not show on the first sight how good it in fact is.It is a good place to watch the local people meet and have some beers. The service is very friendly and do their best to communicated in English.Choose your food from the menu or just point on the meat you would like to have prepaired on the streetside grill. We had a great dinner with several draught beers, skewers, potatoes and rice and paid less than 5USD (for 2 people). In Myo Restaurant, we had a very unique Myanmar dinner experience due to the special menu and the fascinating surrounding. A place which we would certainly visit again if we would return to Pathein!
Great barista runs this place in a very nice atmosphere. Friendly prices for modern trends, find your home away from home here: not only for foreigners, locals love it too
Originally, we wanted only to have a quick aperitif at this restaurant but ended sitting there more than two hours and experienced one of the best dinners during our 2012 travel in Myanmar.Don't be distracted from the location (just at the street) and the heavy smoking local guests in the inside of the restaurant. You would miss a great meal!Location is just great: from the inside of the restaurant you overlook the river, a perfect place to view the sunset (if you are not bothered by smoking, very nice and interested locals). There are also several tables facing the street where you can watch the daily business and streetlife.Even better is the friendliness of the the owner and the food! The dishes are very tasty and fresh. For example, the fried rice was served wrapped in a thin omelett. The dishes are very common Myanmar food but very specially prepared and served. If you are in Pathein (even only for a quick bus stopp), Top Star Restaurant is the perfect place to eat.
Cozy, relaxing and the very first bar in Pathein providing the best service and varieties of authentic drinks by professional mixologists plus delicious meals.
Had a great time of spending my one evening here at City Bar & Restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and food and drinks are ideal!
