Korean food on Canary Island? Why not? It was just delicious! The place is a bit hidden in the street of Las Palmas but dont be afraid, it is totally worth it. The owner was super kind because we did not have a reservation but he was willing to do for us some food to take away and it was great decision!

The Korean food here is great. We had Galbi for starters, mini burgers full of Korean flavours and served with fresh slices of pickled onion. These were really quite exceptional. The bulgogi we had for our main was also very good, traditionally served with lettuce leaves and chilli paste. We also had Japanese gyoza for starters and yakiudon for a main. These also had a Korean edge to them - very fresh and light.I am surprised that some people think that s restaurant is expensive. We also had two glasses of wine and two bottles of water but still paid less than fifty euros.

Having visited this place since 2012, it has kept being the overall best Japanese in Las Palmas. Many Korean and Chinese "Japanese" places in Las Palmas have fresh fish but Kyoto has a selection of other sensible ingredients too.Kankoku salada (5,30 â¬) has quite much vinegar but that's only nice if you like it that way. Ramen yasai (4,55 â¬) is a bit of a joke. It is basically an instant ramen with fresh vegetables and a minuscule amount of sliced pork (if you order it with pork). Not bad but as basic as it gets. The portion is very small too so it's more of a gimmick. Unadon (16,30 â¬) is pretty good. Not the best possible unadon, but if you crave for this unagi delicacy, it's possible here. Katsudon (6,40 â¬) was exactly as one would make at home. Decent and authentic. Very recommendable. (Probably) better than tonkatsu in this restaurant.Half portion of sashimi (11,20 â¬) is real Japanese and recommendable. Fresh fish. Green tea (1,60 â¬) is excellent. Water 1,50 â¬. The only part we would definitely change is the "amuse-bouche" plate. That doesn't really contain nice elements.Kyoto is extremely popular, not the easiest place to get into. Some Korean dishes on the menu, so this is not a completely pure Japanese restaurant, but that's fine as long as the food is mostly good!

Typical Korean and Japanese food restaurant
A lovely little restaurant which made a real impression. We were specifically looking for sushi and the chef was very accommodating to our youngsters need for sushi with cucumber and avocado (although it wasnât on the menu). We had a great experience and only wish we would have had more time to come back again to try more Korean food. Food was cooked to perfection, superb korean appetizers and very friendly staff.

Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Gran Canaria. The food is prepared following the Japanese cousine and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. You can't miss their tuna sashimi (toro) simply spectacular!

Restaurant specializing in worldwide food with a nice terrace in a quiet pedestrian street near the shopping area of Mesa y Lopez, and just minutes from Playa de Las Canteras.
This restaurant offers dishes from around the world but doesn't do them very well. We had Nasi Goreng which bore no relation to the dish we had in Malaysia although it was tasty. We arrived quite early but were rushed through, the main course arrived before we had finished our starter. They are young people trying to be too trendy but haven't really found their way. It does not justify its high rating. Wouldn't go back. Not expensive.

This restaurant is rumoured to be one of the finest in Las Palmas therefore we made the effort to make a reservation and visit it for dinner. It is located on an internal street in a little room. There are around 10-12 tables placed close to each other in a small room. We had a table for 2 in a corner which was nice except the restaurant had dust and dirt collected on the side furniture (see last photo). This is not appetising for a restaurant that has received "awards" or which has claimed to. Then we requested wine but they did not have wine by the glass because they claimed "it was over" therefore if we wanted wine then we had to order by the bottle. We chose a beer and sake instead. The menu is 2pages and quite limited. appetiser we ordered was a salmon tartare which is not on the menu. I have to commend this salmon tartare that it was presented well and quite pleasing to the palate. The ingredients in this tartare were well matched. For mains we ordered another dish which was not on the menu, tuna with avocado and mango with a sauce. The sauce ended up being too much in quantity and way too spicy that we could not eat anymore than 1/4 of the dish. The other 2 dishes we ordered were a california roll dish and another one from the menu. The sushi rolls are quite large and filling therefore it is recommended to order within limit. For being a japanese restaurant, the service is extremely slow. We waited almost 30minutes for the main dishes. There were a total of 3 servers and service was extremely slow. When we ordered a bottle of water, they brought us a bottle without any glasses to drink in. We had to get their attention again (which was a task), to get glasses. In conclusion, I dont see why there is so much hoo-haa about this restaurant because the menu is limited, there is nothing "wow" on the menu, the dishes are expensive, the service is ridiculously slow and inefficient, the location and ambience deserve zero stars and the restaurant isnt even cleaned properly.

A small charming restaurant run by a young couple with high - and fulfilled - ambitions. We had three dishes for two persons and all dishes were special, inspiring to try something similar at home. Thank you very much for your comment! We hope to see you again soon and surprise you once again :)
