this used to be the Spring Grill, but I think that Red Basil has been open at that location since 2010; it has very delicious Thai food and lots of vegetarian options
The food at Red Basil is just excellent! I had their Thai sampler to start off with which is so much cheaper than ordering multiple appetizers and it gives you a small taste of everything. Everything on the sampler was well cooked and packed with flavor. The Shu Mai and Spring Rolls were a stand out. Their Pad Thai was excellent as well. Perfectly cooked and plenty of chicken and it had some kick to it. Also order the Limeade. It quenches the thirst for the food and cools you down. The service could have been a little friendlier but was okay in the end.

Came with a business colleague on a weekday night: we had to spend 15 minutes preparing for a meeting, then we could relax and eat. The young couple who run the place accommodated us and were very friendly without being intrusive. The sound level of the music (recorded jazz) was quiet enough to chat. I thoroughly enjoyed my entree of chicken, ginger and onions. Brown rice is a healthy option for 50 cents more, well worth it (they went out of their way to explain the upcharge in advance). Ice cream for dessert was generously portioned and good. Good addition to the ethnic eateries of Southern Bergen County. Will certainly return.

I love coming to the Asian Grille. The food is always consistent and very nicely priced. On Sundays, they have a special Dim Sum menu which has a nice selection but recently several items have not been available so the number of items can't be ordered. We ordered both off the Dim Sum menu and the regular menu having General Tso's Chicken and it was perfectly cooked with a tangy sauce. It was also a nice size portion with rice. Off the Dim Sum menu, we ordered the scallion pancakes, Shu Mai with pork and shrimp, Shrimp Balls and baked roast pork buns all perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The roast pork buns had a nice sweetness to them with every bite. All the Dim Sum is made in house. The service is friendly and attentive but sometimes they rush the food too much even when it is not busy. It is best to order your appetizers and then wait to order your main dish so that you can finish your appetizers in peace.A consistently excellent restaurant.

We visited the area and happened upon this place, which appeared to be a place we're familiar with back in our home town. They increased the price ($15.99 per adult) for Valentine's Day though there wasn't anything special on their bar and they didn't even have V.Day decorations. The food was ok. They had crab legs along with other seafood, Asian, American cuisines. Located in shopping center with ample parking.

Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. We arrived before 7 pm and within twenty minutes the entire place was packed. It seems like reservations are the smart way to go on weekends since the restaurant is on the smaller side.Food and service were exceptional. Dessert was a satisfying surprise (try the red bean ice cream), and prices were very affordable. Décor really adds up to a calming dining experience. Plenty of street parking in the area. Very recommended, will definitely return.

Stopped for lunch, too hot to cook lunch on the grill. We shared summer rolls, two were served in an order. Cellophane noodles wrapped around shredded greens with two large shrimps and a great dipping sauce. I had a lunch special, wide noodles with vegetables and roast pork served in a light brown sauce, it was excellent. Wife had shrimp with peanut sauce, white rice and vegetables. Would order it again. Will return for lunch and try dinner in the future. BYOB Limited Parking in the rear

A lively, small sushi restaurant in a rather dull main street in Rutherford.I was surprised to find such a great sushi place by coincidence. The SERVICE: Quick and polite. The FOOD: We shared three rolls - Volcano, Tataki and Banzai. All come fresh and with plenty of "stuffing" - meaning not only rice and very little salmon, shrimp or crab. The card offer a lot of variety. Only minus was that I had to drink Pepsi and not Sake as I was driving.OVERALL: We will be back, hopefully not driving next time so I can enjoy some sake to accompany the delicious dishes. My warmest recommendations to this new favourite
