Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Aarau. Aarau (German pronunciation: [ˈaːraʊ], locally [ˈɑːræʊ]) is a town, a municipality, and the capital of the northern Swiss canton of Aargau. The town is also the capital of the district of Aarau. It is German-speaking and predominantly Protestant. Aarau is situated on the Swiss plateau, in the valley of the Aare, on the river's right bank, and at the southern foot of the Jura Mountains, and is west of Zürich, and 65 kilometres (40 mi) northeast of Bern. The municipality borders directly on the canton of Solothurn to the west. It is the second-largest town in Aargau after Wettingen. At the beginning of 2010 Rohr became a suburb of Aarau.

Scent of Bamboo is conveniently located in the Aarau train station. As I usually stay at the Aarauerhof Hotel located at the train station, the restaurant is quite convenient. Restaurant has been open for about 2 years when the train station reconstruction was completed. It is quite popular and adds a nice variety to the local restaurant offerings. The menu is extensive and offers typical Chinese dishes. These are served nicely prepared and are quite delicious.

We visited for our date night. Everything was booked out. They have an asian side and swiss side. I ordered a Thai Green curry which I can only describe as a soup of chicken in chicken and water. No coconut milk, no balance of spices and vegetables. I took one bite and left the rest told them but the waitress was adamant that was a green curry it showed their lack of experience in what a thai green curry is, and being in Switzerland they could make up what it was. No real service as she didn't really care and fully charged. Still paid but would advice anyone that would like to go to a restaurant to eat food to avoid it. Oh and husbands meat was raw.

The best Asian food in the whole area. Everything is always fresh, dishes well combined and not overpriced for quality you get! Very warm and welcome hosts. Good selection of wines fitting to Japanese food. And you get not only sushi!Worth to try - we got hooked up from first visit and now coming back 2-3 times a month, - and we not even live in Aarau.Worth to mention that our Japanese friends were also impressed by food here, as well as original Japanese dishes, which some of them are hard to get in restaurants - they are typical home made food.Interior and atmosphere is very minimalistic, catching Japanese style, and well designed.Love this place!

I particularly liked the design of the restaurant. It is not a big place, but the decoration and the lighting makes you feel in a very cozy/familiar environment. The lunch menus have very good prices. The plates were not so big, but I was told that you can always asked for a bigger a portion if you want. There is also a buffer bar where you pay by weight.I also tried a smoothy bowl... it was delicious! As a dessert i would say one is enough for two people.Great place

Really nice thai. We were surprised about this tiny place. Fresh products, good flavours and they are not shy to use spices. If it is declared on the menu as spicy it acually is spicy. Of course you pay swiss prices but its worth the money spent for the great flavours served. Their porc shish entrees are amazing! I will definitely go back.

Opened in spring 2014, the Casual and Takeaway Restaurant Pavilion offers a wide range of Asian cuisine. The wok dishes, soups, sandwiches and salads are prepared at the counter in front of the guests' eyes. The products on offer have been developed in a
I stayed in the hotel next door and went to the Pavillon for a quick dinner. The restaurant was almost empty which I notified all other evenings that I passed this restaurant. But because it was raining this evening I didn't want to go the the old center of Olten and gave it a try. They serve sushi, a few appetizers and a limited (4) wok dishes. I had shrimps and fried rice with vegetables. I was not impressed and could do my dinner from start to finish in 15 minutes.
