The crown jewels, Buckingham Palace, Camden Market…in London, history collides with art, fashion, food, and good British ale. A perfect day is different for everyone: culture aficionados shouldn't miss the Tate Modern and the Royal Opera House. If you love fashion, Oxford Street has shopping galore. For foodies, cream tea at Harrod’s or crispy fish from a proper chippy offers classic London flavor. Music and book buffs will love seeing Abbey Road and the Sherlock Holmes Museum (at 221B Baker Street, of course).

Founded by the pioneering American actor and director Sam Wanamaker, Shakespeare's Globe is a unique international resource dedicated to the exploration of Shakespeare's work and the playhouse for which he wrote, through the connected means of performance and education.Together, the Globe Theatre Company, Shakespeare's Globe Exhibition and Globe Education seek to further the experience and international understanding of Shakespeare in performance.
Hands down the best production of A Midsummer Nights Dream that I have ever seen (and as my favourite Shakespeare play I’ve seen a few!). The cast were eloquent, hysterical and a few in our party who weren’t familiar with the play managed to follow the story line. The costumes were bright and original, the addition of music to the production was really expertly done (Lysander’s romantic ballads had us in stitches). Bravo, encore and thank you.

Located 800ft above the ground, The View from The Shard is the highest viewing platform in London and is the only place to see the entire city all at once. The viewing galleries on Level 69 and the open-air Skydeck on Level 72 provide spectacular 360° views of London and beyond. In fact, on a clear day, visitors can see for 40 miles. Friendly and knowledgeable guest ambassadors are on hand to answer questions about this iconic building and the breath-taking views. Fall in love with the iconic skyline and spot famous sites including The Houses of Parliament, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, the Olympic Park and Wembley Stadium. Ideal for London’s culture seekers as well as those on their first trip to the capital.
This my fifth visit in less than 2 years. For me, the best time to visit is later spring or early summer around 7:00pm... views are spectacular and you get phenomenal appreciation of London’s amazing architecture and sights.... BOOK, to avoid queuing

These almshouses provide the last chance to understand what the historic Bankside area looked like before the entire area was regenerated with huge modern buildings, which now surround this lovely garden courtyard complex of 20 single bedroom properties. The almshouses are made available for the poor of the Borough of Southwark via a local charity. They were built in the mid 18th century with money left by Sir Charles Hopton, who was from a wealthy merchant family and a member of the Guild of Fishmongers. They have been given the rare Grade II Listed Building status. Public access is possible by arrangement with the charity, St Saviour's. Well worth visiting if you are on Bankside and are within a few minutes walk of the Tate Modern art gallery and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

City Hall is home to the Mayor of London, the London Assembly and the GLA, who in July 2002 became tenants of this striking rounded glass building on the south bank of the Thames near Tower Bridge. Members of the public may visit parts of City Hall Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and on occasional weekends.
The building looked more beautiful on a quiet and grey Sunday morning when there was no activity and no people to clutter up its sculptural shape and you could see it as a free-standing object alongside the stone sculptures in front and the silhouette of the Tower of London at the back.

September 2020- A beautiful & peaceful space in the middle of the busy city. This little green sanctuary features lovely roses, wildflowers and a nice size garden pond. There is also room for small picnics & several benches along the trails for resting (or reading). Perfect place to escape the hustle & bustle of city life, if only for a moment.

Finally visited here today and we were not disappointed. A lift takes you up most of the way to the top and you can climb up an extra couple of levels. The views over London are excellent and you get particularly good views of the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the Belfast. There was no queue at all so we were at the top in around 10 minutes from our arrival.

Easily missed when walking past, the remains of the the palace of the Bishop of Winchester are a hint of the former glory of the palace. We had a walk from Borough Market to the South Bank, a beautiful interesting walk with loads of interesting places to see, such as this palace.
