This place is clean, but I was not happy with the fare. The last sandwich I ordered, the bread was burned, and the veggies were wilted and the tomatoes had that spoiled taste. Their tuna is not at all good, and the Teriyaki Chicken was dried out and disappointing. Decided I wouldn't try again.

We are fortunate to live within walking distance of Gusto! Menu is varied and weekend specials are always terrific. Presentations are lovely and service is efficient and professional. A friendly, welcoming atmosphere makes this a favorite destination.

Stopped in after golf game with 3 others yesterday. Very good place for lunch. Beef sandwich, pork tenderloins, and grilled chicken sandwiches, all came out cooked perfectly. Several choices of sides included with meals. Good selection of local and craft beers also available. Wait staff were also very friendly and helpful going over the menu. This is a sports bar with plenty of TVâs to watch. Also a good location right downtown, easy to find.

I'm done with this Applebee's. We have gone here for years, and the last three times we have been there have been nothing but a "I wish we would have gone somewhere else" kind of experience. Order meat.....medium well (clarified with waiter that it would be only slightly pink). That piece of meat was mooing on my plate. It was rare. We finally had to call another waitress over to our table to ask her to take the steak back to the kitchen. Our waiter was MIA. She couldn't find him. She graciously took it back to the kitchen. It was returned, the manager (and now our waiter) came back to see how the meat was. It was like leather. There was NO cutting through it. While they took that meal off of our bill, I still left without any food. We weren't about to wait for anything else to eat. Service overall was poor. Food was poor. The waitress who helped us was very apologetic and kind...and it wasn't even her table. We tipped her instead.

We were traveling from Minneapolis back home in Davenport. This is a great place to stop on the way. The OP chain is a great representation of a good, local, chain restaurant. Quality is consistent across restaurants without being cookie cutter. I will say this location could use a little sprucing up, but it really didn't detract from our experience. Our server was friendly and took good care of us. I've never had anything besides the pizza and it is great. We ordered a half pepperoni/half sausage, a garden and their BBQ beef. All were very good, but I thought the garden was best. A nice fresh version of a garden pizza loaded with toppings and cheese. The crust was crisp, yet flaky. The sauce is tangy and their meat products are of high quality. I try to stop at an OP if I am in their neighborhood.

(319) 352-4370; reservation only; dinner price range $8-20 - dined there last night. Quiet setting in refurbished older building.
On a business trip and walked here from the hotel. There was about a 10 minute wait on a Thursday evening. It was well worth the wait. The beef sirloin tops appetizer was tender and full of flavor. The chicken bruschetta entre was incredible. Service was a little slower than expected, but overall it was worth every second we waited.

I enjoyed shopping here while visiting with a friend. It has a small eating area in the back and a shop with a variety of artistic home goods for sale. I saw the most unique framed artwork here with scenes made of pebbles put together. I cannot remember the artist, but it was really quite creative. I would recommend popping in here if you happen to be in the area.

My parents owned a restaurant and were one of the first to sell Broasted Chicken back in the 60's. Since then it has been hard to find someone that does it right. East Bremer Diner does it right. Mine was seasoned perfectly and served hot. My only complaint is it was a tad greasy. We used to flour the chicken a day in advance and kept it in the walk in cooler. The result was very crispy not greasy chicken. This is a nice local place with some interesting sides, friendly staff and is a good value. Definitely will be in the next time I visit Waverly. Thank you! Iteans a lot to hear that from someone in the business! We'll look into the flour idea too, we're always looking for ways to improve!
