Just discovered this little gem and wish I had sooner. Had an amazing spinach bagel egg sandwich. Bagel was amazing, just the right texture and flavor, so delicious! Took home some fresh lemon cookies and ginger snap cookies. Those were so good too! I look forward to trying other bagel flavors, as well as some of their homemade cream cheese mixtures. I hear the soups and sandwiches are great too and will definitely go back to try those. The service was great. The shop is cozy and comfy. Can’t wait to go back!!

This restaurant is only open on Sundays from 7am to 12 noon during the Spring and Fall. Their menu is basic and focused on foods that go with real maple syrup; although they also have egg dishes. They have fresh made apple fritters, although we have only had pancakes. It’s family run, the food is good, the service is good, the prices are reasonable, the interior is filled with antique type decoration which are for sale & they sell maple syrup. It’s in a neighborhood and generally a nice comfortable place for breakfast.

A nice mix of pub grub with ample vegetarian options. Pick a night and expose yourself to some great music, local beer and a cool local vibe. There's outside eating with good weather. It has a rich history and is a must see for out of towners.

Stopped in for dinner on a Sunday evening to check it out. The dining area/kitchen is part of a wonderful mill restoration that was done to liven up downtown. The restoration has done some wonderful things to make Newmarket a destination. Kudos for that. The Joinery emphasizes local food sources, and creates some neat menu offerings. We enjoyed the grilled pork chop. Came with ham braised collards, grilled sweet potatoes and cornbread. Thumbs up to the sweet potatoes, the pork chop and the collards. Cornbread was OK, but dry. Sampled the house pinot noir and that was good. Service was OK, but slightly on the slow side. We sense that because this was a Sunday before a holiday there was more of a crowd than what the staff expected. Chef doubled has the hostess, and there were only two wait staff. Kitchen staff was working on all cylinders, and then some.

Stopped here for lunch when another restaurant we wanted to try in town was closed. Bar atmosphere but clean. Staff was a bit aloof and didn't seem interested in being there. Ordered 2 sodas and 2 sandwiches, both were average. Fries were undercooked. Our bill came up to almost $40. Don't think we will be heading back anytime soon.

We stopped by for the first time on a Thursday morning. The street parking was packed so I fully expected a wait. Nope! We were greeted, sat, served, and stuffed! The space is super cozy, service and food are excellent. They have a lovely self serve coffee bar, homemade bread, local ingredients, and creative menu items. We had the Big Bean bfast and jerith benny. OMG- the bacon creamcheese on the benny was legit. Get the cinnamon swirl bread, too. Eat all the carbs- you won’t regret it. Everything was fantastic! We will definitely be back.
