The Surfing Crab is a family tradition of fresh seafood and crabs that was established over 50 years ago. It all started back in 1961, when Henry Vechery opened the Bethesda Crab House. His young son, Donald Vechery began working with him at the age of ju
We are happy to find Soft Shells on the day board as even though Iâm a MD boy, I just hate the work of pulling the steamed critters apart. That does seem to be the real deal here. Most of the room had tables full of lots of big crabs in the all you can eat for $50.Turn around and we pay $29.95 for two soft shells and when I was happy with the size of them, the value just seems lopsided.Hush Puppies are outstanding and fries are ok.Our server was very good. We got stuff fast and he responded to all request. The room was a tad loud. They have no sound deadining material and the bar crowds is feeling no pain. Only nit was 6 hours later we did not feel right but it could be all the fried food as it âpassedâ. Everything was way freaking hot so I trust it was cooked right and the place does volume so Iâm hoping it would not have been old. We will give them another shot.Oh the bar did a good job on her orange crush & the bar man is a stitch.

Restaurant just opened recently. We had heard mixed reviews and just visited the other night. Service was great and wait staff was friendly. Very attentive. We had 3 different dishes and everyone had a happy plate. I had the pasta with lobster and crab. Awesome. The scallops with risotto and shrimp scampi were winners too. Only wish is that they serve some bread before the meal or maybe a small salad with the entree. Will definitely go back and glad to have another restaurant in Milton.

Yummy. On a tip from my son, we tried the Veggie Pizza. Thanks son! Wonderful. It smelled and tasted sweet. It must have had sweet Vidalia onions, maybe sweet green peppers, definitely sweet corn kernels, likely a homemade savory light red sauce, black olives, blanched but green, tasty broccoli, mushrooms, and white cheese all on a house made, fresh dough-crust. I thought nothing there could out-best their first-class Mediterranean pizza, well I think this does or just an awesome equal. Yeah...loved it!!!

Tucked along the street between a butcher and a wicker store sits this delightful cafe. My friend and I met for lunch and I loved the food so much I brought a second order home. The menu has switched to strictly vegan/ vegetarian but don't let that scare you away. I had a beautiful salad topped with a " crabcake", buffalo cauliflower and mango bbq made from jackfruit. The food is fresh and innovative. It is walk up counter service with some outside seating. Hours are limited to lunch. Even if you are a carnivore you will find something to enjoy here. Broaden your horizons!! Eat a plant!!

Another yummy meal had at Irish Eyes in Milton. I love the Bangers and Mash with locally made Irish sausages, Guiness Stout infused, slow cooked roast beef, green peas, and mash potatoes and yummy sauce. Had two yummy Pineapple Express IPAs. Just delightful. Comfortable atmosphere with an excellent waiter. We've had Kevin before...he's wonderful. Thanks Kevin.

The Backyard. A market, restaurant and bakery focusing on seasonal and local foods. Traditional favorites and new ideas.
Since I live in Rehoboth Beach sometimes when we have guests we need to get away from the crowds. This is one of my favorite places. Delightfully decorated inside, great menu with standards and specials-the Thai chicken was excellent and so are the burgers. The last visit they had 2 servers who did not show up but they handled everything beautifully, and as always we went home with treats from the bakery. I rated this 5 stars not because it is a five star restaurant but because they found a way to surprise and delight just a half hour north of the vacationing crazies

We also have a Sunday Brunch and we provide carry out!
Drove from Baltimore to the beach. Stopped here for lunch on recommendation of friend. Thank you! Pulled in about 1 PM, hoped to be post-lunch, not. Full. Staff worked to keep us happy while we waited, ordered and had beverages. Meals delivered to table as opened up, then we sat. Excellent lunch - crispy fries, poâ boys (crawfish, soft shell crab, crab cake) and jambalaya. Friendly staff/service.
