The glowing Mosquito Bay is a vision of bizarre beauty. Thanks to a bioluminescent microorganism, the water is a cool electric blue, looking somewhat like a fantastical sci-fi lagoon. Kayak or hop into a clear-bottomed pontoon boat to glide along the neon waters. Swimmers and snorkelers will adore the pristine, undeveloped beaches. Keep an eye out for the playful feral horses that gallop along the dunes, or visit the stately ceiba tree that’s been keeping watch over the highland for three centuries.

We serve awesome hamburgers & hot dogs with 20 different topping choices. We have delicious deli sandwiches & daily specials. Plus hand cut boardwalk fries & house made onion rings.
This is our favorite place to grab a delicious bite to eat and catch up with friends. The burgers and dogs are amazing, with a great variety of toppings to choose from, and the fries and onion rings are sooooooooooo good!! They pretty much always have specials, too, so be sure to ask. The patio area has great shade and breezes, so bring a 6-pack and hang for a while. Did we mention that Dave is also quite an artist? ;)

The meal we are having is so delicious that weâre posting this as we eat. Closed for a year in the aftermath of Maria, it was worth the wait to return. On the Malecon in Esperanza, other restaurants are old standards, and thatâs great, but Cafe del Mar has been a great experience! We are eating Mahi mahi in citrus beurre blanc and tuna with sesame, ginger and soy sauce that are both cooked to perfection. Also having an excellent limeade with berries. We will definitely return!

Dont Forget Our Full Bar Before U Fly!
If Anthony Bourdain was still with us, heâd have a heyday at this place. The most unassuming dive spot next to the airport with dumplings that rival ones youâd find in Chinatown (seriously, Iâm from NYC!). Theyâre made by a Chinese woman who wound up in Vieques via her husband. The steamed pork dumplings and fried lobster & crab rangoons are to die for...so much so that we ordered an extra serving to-go. Theyâre served with homemade soy sauce and fresh ginger from the island. Such an awesome off-the-beaten-path experience in Vieques.

Very relax ambiance.Thank you, gerymere2017! We appreciate your kind words and are happy you enjoyed your food and the ambiance! We hope you can make it back to the islands again soon.

Bananas is known as the "Island Meeting Place". We are on island time, which means no worry, no hassle. People from all over come here to drink, eat and people watch. So come on in and have a beer...how about a frozen pina colada? Whatever your poison, le

Island fine dining located on the waterfront in Esperanza. Innovative cuisine with lots of flavors. Featured items include fresh local seafood, specialty cocktails, and local greens. Vegan and vegetarian items also available.
We ended up at El Quenepo because our original place was closed. Wow- we were fortunate. I had read the reviews before hand, so I knew we were in for a treat. Be prepared to spend âmore than the usual Vieques price,â but I guarantee the food and service will not disappoint! Their wine and cocktail list were inventive and extensive. Our friend tried what we now call the âLorena Bobbitâ drink- sorry guys- a mixture of tamaraind juice, gin and lime. Food was ample amounts and super fresh! The arugula salad was a nice change to the typical salads. The jerk chicken was nicely spiced not overwhelming hot. The sweet potato salad was interesting. The pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection. The only drawback was the shrimp and conch- it should have been called just shrimp bc only two small pieces of conch were present. Overall, a fantastic meal to end our trip to Vieques!
