Unique casual dining in a former bank building. Even a vault. Soup & Salad buffet, spaghetti, specialty dogs, burgers, breakfast all day and desserts. We also have an open jam session every Friday at 6 p.m.
I wouldn't go out of my way for this one. The food is cheap but you pay for it by having to listen to the owner talk. A little to gossipy for me.

We loved the veteran decor when we first walked in! A wonderful tribute to those who served. We had a delicious, very generous breakfast--at a very reasonable price. Angela was very nice and passionate about our veterans. We enjoyed talking with her and the very home town cafe that welcomes out of town visitors!

I found it on my GPS searching for "diner" restaurants and then looked for it on Google maps.
You know you are entering a distinctly small town diner from the moment you stoop down to enter through the low head-clearance side-door, see posters and fliers promoting local events (like a children's play at "Arlene's Broadway on Buffalo" St Theater), wander to your booth through a maze of American flags and patriotic decor, and see townies talking across the dining room with each other about local happenings. The food is good, as are the prices and the service. But the feel, the folks, the history, the Americana-ambiance is what makes the State Street Diner a must-do for us on our return trips to classic Conneaut.

In town for business. My client insisted we eat dinner here. They ordered a pepperoni mushroom sausage pizza and leave it in the oven for a few minutes extra. Well thatâs what I like. It was amazing. Wasnât floppy, cheese to protein ratio perfect. Also ordered a side of meatballs. If this joint was in New York City theyâd be on TV.

Casual sit-down restaurant with a full service bar. Appetizers, fresh-cut curly fries, wings, flatbreads, salads, burgers, chicken, and wraps. Daily specials. Great place to watch a game and grab a burger and a beer.
I enjoyed the BLT special; the bread was good, tomato was fresh. My husband liked his fish sandwich. The fish was very large and the breading very crispy. Service was quick and came with smiles. You can in or outside. We plan on returning.Thank you for the kind words. I love our summer Tuesday BLT! Our fish is so crispy because we use kettle cooked potato chips to coat them. We are so glad you enjoyed yourself. We hope to see you back soon!Shane "Sparky" Gelfer

We came here on a recommendation of a friend. The location is on the waterfront. This Friday evening the Breakwall had live music which was a plus. I had the Frankenstein Double Decker sandwich that featured pulled pork and brisket-delicious. We really enjoyed the food and service.
