Find out what Wine Bar restaurants to try in San Giovanni d'Asso. About a 25-mile drive southeast of Siena in the rolling hills of Tuscany’s Crete Senesi region, San Giovanni d'Asso is home to just a few hundred people. The highlight is the 12th-century castle, which now houses town offices. Directly opposite the castle is Villa San Giovanni, complete with a hanging garden, which is rentable by the week. The town is home to two lovely old churches, San Giovanni Battista and San Pietro in Villore. Every November, San Giovanni d'Asso holds a Truffle Festival.

I have visited this store on many occasions and always enjoy shopping there. It is an absolutely fantastic store to buy specialty items...or to just sit down and have a glass of wine, spritz or assorted meats and cheeses. It is a family-run store and all are very hospitable and helpful. This bottega is a specialty store, not a discount store. The products they sell are the finest available specialty products of Tuscany...whether from dried pasta's to all manner of sauces, meats to cheeses, oils, wines and candies. It is a great store to browse in, buy gifts for friends back home, or just sit either inside or out and have a glass of wine or a spritz.....to wash down the delicious cheese and prosciutto platter they can make you!!If you visit San Quirico d'Orcia, I highly suggest a stop at this wonderful store!!

In Montalcino downtown, Grotta del Brunello wine bar ("Brunello Cavern") welcomes you to taste some good Brunello or Rosso di Montalcino in a unique atmosphere of a house of medeival origins, and have some snacks, cold cuts and cheese, as well as degustat
We visited the great little town of Montalcino on our short trips within Tuscany. After visiting many of the wine shops that the town has to offer, we decided on purchasing our selection of Brunellos from the Enoteca Grotta del Brunello. The patron was a wonderful lady who was willing to answer any question -- even why the prices keep going up and up for the 2010 Brunellos. :)Great place, great selection of wine and wonderful customer service!Highly recommended!

We have been stopping in this GREAT place for a lunch with some wine producers. It is common to find good restaurants and wine bar in this area but in Svanen you can not only find a great atmosphere and a great food but also an experience of serving that comes from far away.We highly recommend this place where a vast selection of wines, including champagne, is properly described and served.

I stopped in to Idyllium on a cold, windy night in Pienza. What a great spot! Great drinks, and super kind service. Stylish, fun, good music, great drinks. I'll be back next time I am in Pienza!

We were looking for a place for lunch that was a little different. This place fit the bill. We sat at a sunny table outside and had the fondue (melted pecorino with truffle oil--amazing!), a crostini and a plate of vegetables. A couple of glasses of Brunello di Montalcino and we had a delightful meal. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The food was prepared fresh and with care. There are vegan selections available.

Just wanted a quick pit stop meal, and saw this small place with its interesting menus on chalkboards outside, and a table in the street opened up so we pounced, and were glad we did. The waiter had good English, nd we were able to chat a little. The wine was tempting but as I was driving I stuck to Water. My wife had a very good Duck Salad, good flavour and good portion, and I had an anchovy and pesto Bruschetta. Really tasty. Recommended

It's a local delicatessen. Very small place - we ate plates of local cheese and sausage. It was great. The people there were extremely nice and gave us explanations regarding out order. I highly recommend the place - a true and very nice taste of the area.
