Reviews on Wine Bar food in Barna, Galway, Province of Connacht. Bearna (anglicized as Barna) is a coastal village in Connemara, west of Galway city in County Galway, Ireland, on the R336 regional road. Once a satellite of Galway city, the village is now rapidly becoming one of its suburbs. Officially, the village is regarded as Irish speaking and is therefore a constituent part of the regions of Ireland that make up the Gaeltacht. However, because of its absorption into the city, it has recently become a mainly English speaking village. Nonetheless, Irish is still the main language of its western and northern hinterland and the village has now effectively become the gateway to the largest Irish speaking region in the country

French food, wine bar (over 80 different types of French wines coming from small vineyards, most of them organic or bio dynamic), cheese and cured meat platters, fresh local lobster in a fish tank, open late every day. Food served until midnight Establish
I wish there was somewhere like Rouge in Cork City. This restaurant has the warmest & most welcoming atmosphere, and the food is delicious. Every element was thoughtfully & attentively executed & presented. The presence of a classical guitarist the evening we went really added atmosphere & a sense of occasion.... the volume was a bit loud at times - Iâm not sure mic/amplification was required, so good was the artist - but overall the music added to our enjoyment, rather than being intrusive. I enjoyed every mouthful of food. The desserts were also exquisite. I will certainly return here next time I am in Galway. It really is a charming and excellent restaurant.

The Kasbah wine bar is in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Galway. It is the perfect spot to relax over local and fresh food and a glass of wine to share with friends. Enjoy the streets of Galway from one of the most beautiful views in town. Perfect for
Iâve hesitated writing my review for Kasbah as part of me selfishly doesnât want too many people to know about it but that would be wrong! What a lovely little place. The food was gorgeous, 3 of us shared starters which included cauliflower marinated in a buffalo sauce and fried, one of the most delicious things Iâve ever had. The pulled pork tacos were also delicious, I had ribeye with a lovely salad and home fries, a lovely sauce accompanied, my friends had half a lobster and loved it. We struggled with dessert but the rhubarb crumble was fab. We washed it down with a lovely Albariño and a couple of g n tâs from the extensive choice. The staff were super nice, friendly and obliging as we did chop and change and there was no problem. Canât wait to go back!!

Food is exceptionally great, I had a chicken with wild mushroom sauce, my lady had the seafood linguini. Perfection. For dessert I chose chocolate marquise and I'm struggling for words to describe how beautiful it was... not your average, overly sweet something, but the taste and texture was just as great as it came straight from belgian chocolate gourmet's kitchen. The raspberry reduction, it's been lovely too.The building as we've been told is around 600 years old and has a real charm even from the outside. (See pictures) Candles were lit, adding an extra on top of the already superb atmosphere. And about the staff... very warm and helpful, it's been a delightful experience from the minute we entered to the end.Hats off, this place will leave you with all your boxes ticked. Can't go wrong here, I'm more than sure.Well done!!!

This is a little wedge of heaven set amongst the stalls of galyways local market stalls. The shop is a hub of activity and on venturing upstairs I was agast at the variety and knowledge on display. We only had a small platter of charcuterie and cheese having just eaten lunch but not wishing to pass the opportunity. Glutinous indeed. Advise and assistance was delivered expertly and appreciated. 5 stars. Beautiful.
