Pegeia (also spelt Peyia; Greek: Πέγεια) is a town in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Pegeia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay, at the southern end of the Akamas Peninsula, and it lies 14 km north of Paphos. It has a large population of British ex-pats and a growing number of holiday homes and apartments. In the town centre can be found a town hall, church, police station and several small shops, restaurants and banks. Due to its hillside location many parts of the town offer views over Coral Bay and Paphos.

We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????

Tour Begins From Paphos!!! The 3.5 hour safari allows you to experience more of off-road riding. You can choose quad bikes, buggies or Enduro bikes. 3.5 hour route • Please arrive at least 20 minutes earlier to fill in and sign the paperwork, and familiarize yourself with the bikes. • We start our route near the famous Coral Bay beach of Pegeia, carry on towards the shipwreck, sea caves and then enjoy quiet winding roads through the banana plantations towards St George’s church and marina before continuing down into Akamas Nature Reserve. • In Akamas, all riding is off-road. • Here, we visit Lara beach, which is famous as the turtle nesting grounds – here we have time for an invigorating swim. Our next stop is a small café for some refreshments set in a picturesque landscape between the sea and the mountains. • We then proceed to Adonis Bath (the entrance fee is EUR 7), which entails about 30 minutes of off-road driving.
Inclusions: Quad, Fuel surcharge

The jeep ride was a bit too fast for my liking, especially on the winding mountain dirt roads. We enjoyed the natural reserves and the beautiful natural views though. It would have been nice to get more info on the places we were visiting, but maybe there wasn't much to them apart from the pretty views. The boat cruise was ok, lots of passangers, an hour to the Blue Lagoon, and hour there and an hour back. The Blue Lagoon itself was a bay full of other ships like ours, I thought it was going to be a little more quaint. Overall it was alright, always an experience and new sights seen.
