We visited in fall, so splash pad was off. But park still a great place for kids and adults alike. On edge of the lake with canoe/kayak rentals available, a small beach, very nice playground equipment, picnic tables and shaded areas. Some creative outdoor art to view. Clean rest rooms. Good parking. All in all, a very nice park that is free and welcoming to all ages.

Near the lake, the shops are easy to reach and are all very attractive and offer a wide range of items to view and maybe buy. Large parking lots centrally located. Even if you are just strolling, the scenery is worth the walk as the stores are along the canal and bridges are in place to step over into the more residential area.

One of the things that is synonymous with Winona Lake is Grace College. The campus is a medium sized campus. The buildings are loaded with history, and all of the staff and students are friendly. There is a large fieldhouse just north of the campus that is worth touring. Plan a long walk around the campus.
