Wales destination shopping for traditional Welsh blankets. a purpose built Tin shed shop replicating the local vernacular for roadmens houses a century ago. Fitted out like a Mid century mill shop with floor to ceiling welsh blankets, quilts & accessories. The only place you can buy New, Vintage & antique Welsh blankets. An old fashioned service , with complementary tea for our customers. a place to sit & watch the birds or overnight accommodation in our vintage shepherds huts in the hay meadow.

A real beauty spot to enjoy a good walk. We only did the boardwalk,it should take no more than an hour but we stopped many times for photos because it was so scenic so it took us about 1.5 hours. We stopped for a while to see the horses. They were very friendly and loved the attention. There are also 2 photo posts on the way around to take scenic shots. Its is great for anyone in a wheelchair because it a flat boarded path all the way around. The car park has toilets as well. Will definitely return.

Grand medieval abbey where generations of Welsh princes are buried. The abbey of Strata Florida – Latin for ‘Vale of Flowers’ – has stood on lush meadows beside the banks of the river Teifi since 1201. It was established by white-robed Cistercian monks as part of a movement that spread like a tidal wave across the whole of western Europe in the early Middle Ages. Soon it became the most famous church in Wales after St Davids – a place of pilgrimage and a linchpin of Welsh culture. The displayed opening times are our general pattern. Please check the Cadw website for specific times and days, including closures.
If you're looking for a place that's full of atmosphere, this is it. Although there is only a bare skeleton of a ruined Abbey, the location of it is one that fills in the gaps of history and is really quite special. The site is mostly flat and the main body of the ruin could be accessed by wheel hairs or pushchairs. For those who are creative in writing or art, this place is inspiring. Princes were buried here and Dafydd ap Gwilym ( 14th century Welsh poet) There's a small cafe on site and a charge to go into the ruins. A car park is just opposite the site and is free. Have a look for the pilgrim!

Spectacular, well established gardens situated high above the Teifi valley commanding awe inspiring views towards Tregaron, Cors Caron and Snowdonia beyond. A wildlife haven of three and a half acres with a wide variety of habitat planted with rare and unusual hardy perennials, shrubs and trees. Ponds, bog gardens, tropical beds, woodland shade and sunny banks.
