We arrived March 15th and drove around the roads in the park. I was amazed how large it was. I stopped at one of the trails and walked it down to the falls (I don't remember what trail number it was). I don't hike and found this VERY EASY to use to see some WONDERFUL scenery. My wife has knee trouble and even she would have been able to navigate this one. Then I'm back in the car and after another 10 or 15 mins of driving, seeing what we could see from the road we went to the Canyon Inn. With the current situation going on in our country with health issues I was pleased they were still open (inside dining shut down the next day). The staff were very accommodating, directing us to complimentary coffee in the large fireplace room while we waited about 5 mins for the dining room to open. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She was quick to point out the menu was limited due to the health crisis, but I saw prices far BELOW what would be reasonable. For minimal dollars I got a great cheeseburger onion rings. The sandwich had a nice char grill flavor...the onion rings were done just right...so when I bite into them they don't pull out of the breading. My wife was well pleased with her meal also. Our waitress kept out drinks full and attended to our needs very well.While dining we noticed another staff member (I found later to be the waitress leader), using spray disinfectant on EVERY ITEM ON THE TABLE! She wiped off salt and pepper shakers, ketchup, mustard, arms of chairs etc. If you'd like a nice quiet Sunday getaway I would recommend McCormicks's Creek Canyon Inn.

Very beautiful setting relaxing great music on Saturdays and their blackberry wine is amazing and a must on Friday and Saturday nights is their homemade cheesecake
