We were visiting the 400 year old forest at Johnson Woods State Nature Preserve, which was about 10 minutes down the road, and decided we HAVE to visit Smucker's. And so glad we did. It's a store and a cafe with loads of product to tempt you. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the cafe was not serving. While we were slightly disappointed, we were able to fill our cart with all things Smucker, preserves, hot fudge toppings, marmalades, and tangerine, vanilla cashew mis and even some cute dish towels.! Folks were face masks friendly!

I know many travelers are heading to Kidron to take in the sites of Amish country {Lehman's Hardware especially} but if by chance you are coming into the Amish community via Rpoute 30, on the corner of 30 and Kidron Road sits a quaint cheese house ... but don't let the small building discourage you from stopping by. This place is packed with cheese, trail [and other snacking] meat, lunch meat, candies, Amish baked goods, Heggy's chocolates, and other wonderful off the wall treats. I am 48 miles from this great store and still make it a habit to travel and grab some goodies for much less money than you see in other places along the Amish path. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful - so don't be afraid to ask questions! And ... be sure tograb some sponge chocolates while you are there. You will not be sorry.
