The Wuhou temple was built in memory of one of the most famous ancient Chinese strategist, politician and a great thinker Zhu Geliang who lived during the Chinese three kingdoms period. He still is referred as the king of wisdom in the modern time. There are so many stories and books about him. In this temple, you can appreciate some han dynasty artifacts and some very famous calligraphy. I absolutely enjoyed visiting this place and hope other visitors enjoy it too. Be prepared to stay there for a whole day to see everything. Join a small group with a tourist guide would be a better choice for the first visit.

Still after visiting China many times I am never tired of its deep history when it comes to government avtivities. The visual estethic layout is great and very different from elsewhere.

This is the tomb and ancestral temple of a famous physician of the Eastern Han Dynasty (c. 200 AD). It's quite attractive and well-kept. Inside is a small museum of artifacts from the Eastern Han as well as medical artifacts. Nanyang, in southern Henan Province, is not a city that normally attracts a lot of foreign tourists, but if you go there, this temple and several other sites are worth spending an afternoon to visit. The other reason to visit Nanyang is its famous jade market.

The title "Painting Museum" is a misnomer, as nothing in this museum is painted. Nanyang, as indeed much of Henan Province, is rich in Eastern Han tombs. These tombs were largely made of stone. Many tomb doors and lintels were elaborately carved with scenes of life in China 2000 years ago. Thus, these stone tomb carvings are a rich historical source. The museum displays over 200 of these stone masterpieces, most of which are accompanied by rubbings which better show the artwork. So if you appreciate Chinese history and art, this is a good place to spend a couple of hours. The downside is that the museum displays almost nothing but carved stone from Han tombs. No pottery, no jade, no bronze, and nothing painted. Just carved stone.

Be careful if you go to this park alone and or at night time. There are many pick pockets and people who will stab you then grab your purse. It is a bit dangerous
