We were delighted to visit this shop during our recent stay in Lochcarron. This is a delightful store with a very comprehensive range of high quality locally weaved and knitted products. The store was well layed out and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. This is certainly worth a visit.

This stunning and unique treehouse is a perfect and atmospheric small venue for community groups, music sessions, outdoor classroom, photo shoots, meetings, retreats, art and craft groups, or just getting away from it all in the tranquil trees above the river. All money raised from the Treehouse hire will go towards running the community woodland and Smithy Community Hub.

The ruins of Strome Castle sit on the shores of Loch Carron directly opposite Stromeferry, and the views are fabulous in all directions. We were fortunate to visit on a quiet Sunday morning when the sun was shining and the sea was a brilliant blue. This is the sort of place where you need to bring your camera, and I bet you won’t be able to resist framing a picture with the old stone doorway - ‘cos I’m sure just about everyone does!
