Just played 9 holes with my husband. He has played for years and I have played for 4 years. Challenging for me but not ridiculous. Clubhouse had good food.

Brenda was the perfect hostess. She welcomed us, told us about the place, the restaurant and we saw the brewery. The owner even said hello. My husband had dinner of 5 kinds of their sausage which was an opportunity to sample new tastes. All were excellent. Their meatloaf was delicious too. They make their own beer and root beer. You could taste the freshness. We liked it so much that we came back for lunch the next day. My husband had a Reuben sandwich and I had the special Corned Beef and Cabbage - the best I ever had. Way better than I ever made, and that is my favorite home cooked recipe. The chef came out and explained his process - no wonder his was better. Their root beer is made in their own brewery, I got a bottle to go home. We don’t drink, but if the beer is as good as the root beer, ... Sadly, we are passing thru, but If we were anywhere in the area, we would definitely make it a point to come back.

The homemade peach “flurry” is homemade custard and fresh-sliced peaches. It is delicious! Then get their fried green tomato sandwiches! Their berries, tomatoes, fresh peaches, cantaloupe, watermelon, fresh corn in the cob, and Vadalia Sweet Salad Dressing are fabulous. We stock up for the week at the beach!
