Unique World War 2 monument honoring 44 former El Reno students who served in WW2 and gave their lives. The front of the monument lists their names, ranks, service branches and units, dates of death, and how they died for each of those men. The back side of the stone bears their images alongside images of airplanes (B-17, P-38, etc), ships (inc. USS Oklahoma), and other equipment they served in.

It's like stepping back into the past. Plus every year they have a really fun weekend where people dress in period garb standing by tombstones and tell each deceased person's story.
Heroes Plaza in downtown El Reno features several monuments paying homage to all of the Canadian County, OK, casualties in military service at any time. In addition to those special monuments, the plaza also features a statue of a Doughboy from World War I, as well flags & bricks honoring other servicemen. Famous riderless horse Black Jack and a military funeral scene are painted on the reverse.
