Golden Rule Vineyards - Vineyard Tasting Room is nestled along the eastern slope of the Gunnison Mountains, on the western side of the Sulphur Springs Valley. Come for a tasting, or bring a picnic lunch that you may enjoy on our elevated porch overlooking the valley. Enjoy beautiful views of the Cochise Stronghold area and the Dragoon mountain range to the south, or gaze east toward the Chiricahua mountain range and Dos Cabezas perched almost directly over the historic town of Willcox. Located within the Willcox AVA (American Viticultural Area) and Willcox Wine Country, we offer a large selection of premium Arizona wines and Cochise Groves pistachios. Everything you will find here is 100% Arizona and proudly supportive of other local and state businesses.
My wife and I, along with our trusty Vizsla "Jovi," dropped in on the Golden Rule Vineyards a few days ago. We are part of a group called Harvest Hosts, which enables Rvers to find farms and vineyards to stop over and spend the night. Ruth and Jim have made Golden Rule Vineyards a part of the Harvest Hosts network, so after calling to make sure they had space for us, we swung by to spend the night after a day of hiking the mountains of SE Arizona. They could not have made us feel more welcome. The wine tasting room is very nice, and the pistachios, as noted in some of the other reviews, are fantastic. But the big surprize was the wine. We don't expect too much from AZ wine yet, but all of the selections we tasted at GRV were excellent. We purchased several bottles, and continued our "private wine tasting" once we were settled in for the night. Both Ruth and Jim are loaded with information about the area, and were more than happy to spend their time talking with us, when they were not spoiling our dog with treats and attention. All in all, we cold not have had a better evening. If you like good wine and good company, I would encourage you to visit the GRV. If you are a member of Harvest Hosts, I would strongly recommend stopping there for the night, if you are in that part of Arizona.

The Echo Canyon trail head has very limited parking and also happens to be the epicenter of hikes for Chiracahua park. We coldn't find a spot there so we parked at Sugarloaf and walked back to Echo Canyon to hike. We did the "Big Loop" which is 9 miles, 10 if you have to park at Sugarloaf. Still totally worth it!

Located in the desert of southern Arizona between Benson and Wilcox, the Texas Canyon is a beautiful area with some of the most interesting, huge rock formations in the lower 48 states. Highly recommend pulling into the rest area to take in the natural beauty along this short stretch of I-10. FYI, there is a longer stretch of the same type of formations in the mountains through I-8 west of San Diego and El Cajon.
