A swmall weekly market with a good variety of stalls with the basic food and craft stalls some stalls change every week so keep an eye on Facebook also good size car park with toilets and we also have a cafe
Just happened to be driving past, saw the signs and all the cars in the free carpark. Wow! What a surprise to find a village hall full of home made/ home grown food and goodies sourced locally: veg, bread, cheese, meat, gifts, clothing and a little cafe. Lovely friendly people and relaxed atmosphere. Spent all my cash and will be back!

A tastefully renovated former ironmonger’s, this shop and cafe has kept many features and added so much more! The window displays are eye-catching and frequently changed with a variety of interesting artefacts as well as books. There is a variety of books, not just the expected (and extensive) selection of poetry books, including some to browse in the cafe. The range of notebooks, soaps, gift wrap, beautiful cards, bags, pottery and so on is breathtaking. You can buy a prescription bottle of ‘pills’ to suit your mood, each capsule containing an appropriate quotation, or even have a private consultation with Deborah, the Emergency Poet. This is not a gimmick; she really does listen and give individual recommendations. The cafe has been carefully decorated and the teas and coffees are presented in an unusual manner - you will have to go yourself to find out more! If I lived nearer I would go far more often, but in conclusion I must point out that it is a very safe environment in these Covid-conscious times.

The UK's Oldest Licensed Brewery (1642) in the heart of the Shropshire Hills. Producing outstanding traditional ale for thousands of customers.
My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Steve the head brewer. It was fascinating and I learned so much! Tasting ale now has a whole new angle, knowing the process from beginning to end. This is still very traditional and was such fun. If you are a fan of three tuns ale, this is a MUST. Be prepared to climb up and down very steep stairs. It’s fantastic that you get to see where this fabulous ale is still made. Steve really knows his stuff and he had us all amazed at his flair for brewing ( and how he came to be doing this old age craft) Thankyou so much for your time Steve, it made our trip to Bishops Castle complete. Can’t wait to return and drink all the lovely brews that I know so much about now.

Located In the sleepy village of Wentnor and surrounded by farmland and the green Shropshire hills The Inn On the Green and landlord Adrian is the purveyor of fine ales, wines and great food cooked to perfection by Sal and the kitchen crew. A great selection of food from light snacks; soups to evening meals and a plentiful sumptuous carvery every Sunday including roast beef, pork, potatoes and veg. And of course don't forget to try the big breakfast cook up. For those who wish to stay over the upstairs rooms are very clean with on suite showers and linen changes. I had a very pleasant stay for the whole month of February 2019. Open 12noon there is ample parking except on Sunday carvery when parking maybe out on the roadway.
