The Theler Wetlands Nature Walk is absolutely one of the best places to walk if you love being surrounded by birds all kinds and beautiful water and wetlands. There is ample parking out front with a "port-a-potty" and a really lovely playground area for kids. Each time I had walked the Wetlands this playground was full of kids playing the equipment. The entrance to the nature walk is a gorgeous ornate cast iron gate that will make you stop and take a long look at its intricacy. You walk along a path until you come to what I call the "boardwalk" which wraps around through some very beautiful and peaceful woods. You will see and hear birds of all kinds here. At the end of the "boardwalk" you come back to dirt and there is a nice conservancy building full of information with respect to the Theler Wetlands. As you continue along you finally come to a path that takes out towards the water and over the wetlands. There are plants of all kinds along this path; including, the beautiful Wild Rose, which wafts through the air with its delightful rose fragrance. You will see some very old growth trees and the nature walk offers a picnic area with toilet areas as well as decks that you can walk out on to and listen to the birds or just relax in the sun and meditate. It's a fairly long walk all the way around so be prepared by wearing comfortable walking shoes. There is no fee to walk on the nature path. You will really enjoy this serene place!

This is. Nice park! Very clean and quiet for being fairly close to the town. My wife and I enjoyed the camping and the local area. We will be back.
