Banos de la Encima Castle

He guided visit local route in the Hamma Bury Castle, it is a prickly Almohad fortress that has been completely preserved dese the tenth century, thanks to its fabulous wall made of mud. Inside found archaeological remains from the Bronze Age along with remains of a Roman mausoleum. During the visit they will meet the fierce fighting that occurred between Muslims and Christians until the final conquest in 1225 by Fernando III El Santo, the keep and alcalzarejo are Christian era.

There is really nothing close to this Castle and this was not on our itinerary. There is a small town called Banos just off the highway about half a kilometer away. A turnoff takes you right to the castle. It costs 3 pesos to get inside and it is worth it though the staff speak only Spanish. The castle was built in the 17 c and it has very formidable walls. Having just arrived from Toledo, there is not much featured here in comparison. The views are very spectacular. I recommend stopping here.
