We were in Idaho Falls at the tourist center and the gentleman there recommended we take this side trip.Mesa Falls is located on Mesa Falls Scenic Byway off Highway 20 in the Targhee National Forest In Ashton. It was very impressive. The upper falls require some walking and steps. The path to it is not very long but there are a member of steps broken down in groups. The upper falls were beautiful. Large enough for mist to form. There are benches to sit and enjoy the falls. The smaller falls required less effort to reach and were just as impressive. We really enjoyed the falls and highly recommend.

We are a family owned business that covers all of your river rafting needs. We supply a shuttle to and from the snake river in style! We have an abundance of options for different floating needs such as kayaks (single and double), canoes, paddle boards, and tubes!
We brought our family of six (kids ages 4, 7, 11, and 13) to float the river. We chose a 6-person raft and 3 deluxe tubes. IT WAS MAGNIFICENT, definitely in the running for Best Day on Vacation. The raft was perfect to bring a cooler and the various things kids accumulate on a trip, while the tubes let the more adventurous ones have a little more independence (while staying tied to the raft). Switching riders on each kept things interesting for everyone, and we could use the paddles from the raft to steer us all. Everything about the whole trip was lovely: kind hosts who knew exactly what they were doing and were super flexible with our timing, life jackets that fit perfectly, transportation to and from the river. The river itself was incredibly beautiful--rocks and trees and birds and plants and quiet, with just enough current and rocks to add a little adrenaline to the very family-friendly trip. I would definitely recommend! We were so glad this was part of our vacation!

We arrived in May 2017 after we camped a week in Yellowstone and ended up spending the entire summer. The campground was in the direct path of totality for the August 2017 eclipse so of course we extended our stay for that. And I broke my elbow and needed surgery so we stayed on for that too. The campground is beautiful with views of the Grand Tetons and about an hour from Yellowstone. There are so many beautiful places to explore, we never tired of exploring. The hosts were somewhat new to this but they were welcoming and so helpful. They did everything in their power to make sure we had a pleasant stay and they have become good friends. We still keep in touch with many people we met.
