We were visiting Urbana and were told about this wonderful park. It was a beautiful day for a walk and this was the perfect place to see and experience its beauty. It was during the week and it was not too busy. We were able to relax and enjoy the unusual park artwork and sculptures. There is a paved walking path around the park. Children were playing in the playground. The park is lovely and peaceful.

We really enjoyed wandering the trails here on a hot humid afternoon. We saw many deer. We were sad that some of the watering places were drained so it appeared the deer had a harder time getting water. There also used to be turtles and frogs but there stream was drained so we did not see any of those either. There were several trails but they were not really clearly marked. We figured we would eventually find our way out.

Very nice library. I have been coming here since I was a kid many years ago. It has been expanded and upgraded so it's different but meets the needs of our changing world. It is quite pretty, includes a coffee shop and has an extensive children's section. It has connections with many other libraries so you can always get a title that you are searching for. Lastly, they have a very nice website that can tell you what materials they have and can get.

The Spurlock Museum’s five feature galleries house exhibits representing peoples of the following cultures and geographic areas of the world: Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, and Africa; Ancient Greece and Rome; East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania; Europe; and American Indian Cultures of North and South America.Special exhibits, based in the Campbell Gallery, serve as a springboard for unique programs, tours, and special events.Through our collections and educational programs, we help interpret the diversity of cultures through time and across the globe.
Wonderful exhibits featuring a great variety of time periods and places around the world. The tour of the South American materials was especially rewarding. Well labeled, which is important for the visitor. Enjoyed this very much.

As a local here, I suggest the following things for a one-day tour when you're in town: the Main Library, Altgeld Hall, Lincoln Hall, Morrow Plots, Smith Hall, the Main Quad, the Siebel Center, the Illini Union, the Alma Mater, the Japan House, and the round barns (if you have time).
