This tranquil lake offers plenty of water activities and a laid back feel.
Just a fun place to hang out, take a kiyak, paddleboard SUP or just swim and there is more than one way to get in the water, "enter the park" or go to the "Sac State Aquatic Center" and if you like there are bike trails also.

Perfect size for little ones and beautiful grounds. We always have a nice time wondering around looking at the animals and staff is always so friendly.

This park offers everything: a huge lake for all sorts of water activities and nature trails for hiking, walking and horseback riding.
Beal’s Point is an area at Folsom Lake with a campground and a day use area. We have only used the day use area. There is a nice grassy area with covered picnic tables, BBQ grills and restrooms, as well as a nice beach area with lifeguards. It’s a perfect place for families to spend the day swimming and having a BBQ. There is a designated area for swimming and kayaking that is safe, because there are also other areas of Folsom Lake that allow boating. There is also a bike trail that leads to Beal’s Point so you can ride your bike as well. It tends to get very crowded on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day, because this is a popular place to spend a summer day if you live in the Sacramento area, so get there early if you go on a weekend. On weekdays, you can pretty much find parking at any time. Overall a nice place to visit and a nice way to beat the heat.

Immerse yourself in a world of discovery as SeaQuest takes you on an adventure through rainforests, deserts and the depths of the seas. With exciting exhibits and activities for families and children of all ages, you’ll be able to get wet with the stingrays, feed the toucans, encounter the caimans, marvel at the sharks, take selfies with the snakes and more. Creating an unforgettable experience for every guest by connecting them with amazing animals from all over the planet.
We decided to take our 17-month toddler to SeaQuest during Labor Day, and we were not disappointed! Our little guy absolutely had a blast, especially at the Trout pool and the giant fish and ray tank. I honestly don't know who had more fun, him or us (Mom and Dad)! You can even snorkel with the rays and fish (for a reasonable additional fee)! We'll definitely be going back soon; it was completely worth the admission price. Ask about their Teacher discount; I don't think it's advertised along with their military and other discounts.
