I loved the architecture of this theatre. It's a very stunning example of modern architecture in Taiwan and it makes fun to walk around an discover all the details. The expanse of water on the front is also nice for taking photos with reflections of the building. You can go inside and walk on your own through the public places of the theater – and it looks nearly more interesting from the inside. Don't forget to visit the roof-top! You have good views to the surrounding high-rise buildings.

We go here for shopping but there is nothing special except delicious food. There is pizza, Japanese cruise, Chinese dim sum , captain lobster and bakery shop. My son likes the tempura very much but I prefer the Chinese dim sum.

Top city is a large mall with all the top brands. I don’t mind window shopping there and occasionally get a rare good find but generally prefer using top city for the higher floors whether for technology/ household items or just window shopping for future ideas. As mentioned in other reviews there is the City supermarket which is great for many of the European or American products you may be seeking amongst other international foods. Also Din Tai Fung (Michelin 1 star restaurant) which I absolutely love. It’s very reasonably priced and as usual the more people joining you for dinner then the cheaper it is per head. I generally find its only $10-20 per head depending on the amount of people dining and how hungry you are. I bought their chop sticks too (they’re very easy to use and clean) There is a cinema on the top floor which is generally my favourite cinema in Taichung. There is usually some display at the front of the Mall and also can be quite good for photo opportunities. There is multiple basement levels for parking and also surrounding areas outside for slightly cheaper parking (I think if you purchase enough at top city then parking is free as you exit; show your purchase receipts ) There is also food court on the 10/11 floor which is always good to sample
