Launched in April 2015 we offer sedate river cruises and rowing boat hire. We are open for trips Mid March to end Oct and the rowing boats May to Oct please see the website for actual dates and times. Based at the Big Bridge in the High Street the electric launch "Enid May" runs trips in the Tonbridge area and is the ideal platform for photographing the area and the wildlife. The boat will seat up to 12 passengers comfortably and is safe for kids. Why not enjoy a relaxing one hour river trip or book for a private "voyage" either way you get close to nature and can glean some of the areas history from the skipper before finally returning to your starting point by the castle.

Our distillery is located in an old victorian coach house, arranged around a central courtyard, and overlooking the fields and forests of Kent. Part of a historic hunting estate, it is now the home of Greensand Ridge Distillery. THE GIN EXPERIENCE is an intimate distillery experience where you'll learn about the art of distilling and distil your own gin on an individual copper pot still.
Fantastic evening at a Gin Experience (givern as birthday treat), Chris was fantastic host and the evening was full of giggles and education on one of my favourite drinks, Gin! Thank you Husband and I came away learning lots and a few bottles????????

We stopped by as we were in the area for a walk and we LOVED it! Very impressed with such a space and it was so relaxing to be by the lake too! A long walk for some fresh air! Large carpark too. I reckon it's often busy. Cute paths and a lovely play area too by the entrance. Plus a nice cafe too. We will definitely come back with our little one next time we are in the area! It was so refreshing and peaceful. Good for the mind! Dog-friendly too of course! More details and free family days out in Kent on my blog The Frenchie Mummy. So Google it and have a look there too! Merci!

The 8 acres of garden are formed around a 100 metre long double mixed border backed with clipped Yew hedges and columnar Oak trees. From the border run two grass avenues lined with clipped hedges. Hanging from this structure are a variety of large and small contemporary and traditional gardens designed and built by students of Hadlow College. Throughout the gardens there is an extensive range of unusual plants and collections, in addition to more familiar plants used in unconventional ways.
Love it here, gardens stunning, tearoom homemade food. Staff friendly and there plenty to see and buy in shop, gifts, cards, prezzies. Great nursery and gardens. Great day out with family and friends or on your own for peace and respite.

Lunchtime was spent mid walk and it was glorious. The landlord is aware of social distancing and hygiene which is totally justified. The food was great as usual and the beer fab. One of the best pubs in Kent. Don't miss it. Currently you need to be tolerant of attitude of staff as working in this environment is difficult for them. Place yourself in their place. I speak from working in the hospitality industry. Otherwise the alternative is no great pub!!
