This upscale cheese shop sells a dizzying variety of cheeses, categorized by country of origin, and all cheeses are completely and utterly divine. Staff are thankfully super helpful at suggesting various cheeses, which is great because I would have had a lot of difficulty making a decision. They also sell pâtés, caviars, breads, and various oils and jams. They have gift baskets for special occasions - a great option for foodies.

Betty, the manager of the spa, is an angel on earth. I had stayed at the inn for a few days, and during that time had a lovely pedicure. Well, the day I was scheduled to check out, I had a horrendous migraine. I knew I wasn’t making it home. I asked the front desk if a room was available and they kindly assured me they would find me one, but it being a busy Saturday, they understandably couldn’t make one available for a few hours. Rather desperate, I popped my head into the spa, the only quiet place I could find, and explained what was happening to the lady at the desk. She got Betty. Betty led me to the relaxation room, pushed two chairs together so I could lie down, brought me a blanket, a glass of water, and showed up a little while later with crackers and ginger ale for the nausea. Keep in mind I didn’t even have a service scheduled. I wasn’t her customer. No matter. I protested a little thatshe didn’t need to do all she was doing, that I had just been hoping for a quiet place to wait, but she insisted. She checked on me a few times over the course of a couple of hours, and when my room was ready she insisted upon walking me up to my room. She left me a bag of crackers and a bottle of water. I was so grateful I hugged her and she hugged me back, telling me I was most welcome and never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Truly an angel of a person who went above and beyond for someone who wasn’t even technically her customer. I’ll never forget her.
