A beautifully sited gallery with several galleries of special exhibitions, with the highlight being the Olley artwork and re-creation of her home-studio. With the video and hands-on experiences it is totally inspiring as you become immersed in the artist's work and life. Friendly informed staff and volunteers enrich the experience....a "must stop" visit.

The heart of the Tweed valley can be found in beautiful Murwillumbah, and the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) stands ready to help you plan your perfect visit to the area. Our friendly staff and volunteers are always happy to help with information, tour bookings, accommodation options, locally crafted wares, or just a good tall tale with plenty of local knowledge. Additionally, the Murwillumbah VIC is the home of 'The Panorama' - a renowned artwork that displays the dramatic 360 degree view as seen from the summit of Wollumbin Mount Warning (currently closed to hiking). This impressive piece is a part of our relaxation room - stop by and take it in whilst enjoying a cup of local Madura Tea on the comfy couch.
Friendly and informative staff and volunteers, large assortment of local arts and crafts, well-priced souvenirs of the area and Australia in general. Heaps of brochures and maps covering north to Cape Yorke and south to Canberra. Good advice on local attractions, accomodation and public transport. Large, bright, venue in the spacious railway building. Sad to have lost the original, character and ambience of old venue across road. This was devastated by last floods unfortunately.

Really lovely little museum. Well set out. It was good for kids. A little bit of everything (geological history, recent history, fossils, aboriginal history). Well presented for kids. A highlight was showing the kids how the volcano shaped the region with a big screen video which was really well done.

A vibrant precinct for artists and art lovers to come together over food and drink. Wander into the M|Arts precinct and explore our working studios, meet friendly artists, visit our galleries, including Gallery DownTown (the annex of the Tweed Regional Gallery), pick up some treasures at our art supply store, get custom framing, buy some fresh flowers and stop for a coffee or lunch at Bacaro restaurant.
Live poetry at Poets Out Loud third Thursdays of every month. We love the working artist studios, markets, and galleries. There's always something to see.
