Nitida Cellars

Situated in the heart of the Durbanville Wine Valley you will find our family owned and run wine cellar. At Nitida we believe that beautiful wines come from day to day thoughtful management of our vineyards, which makes us one of the most consistently awarded and loved boutique wine cellars in South Africa. Take a stroll through our cellars, enjoy an artisanal wine tasting or come dine at one of our estate restaurants.

This has long been one of my favourite wine cellars. Located on the Durbanville route Nitida is easily accessible from most parts of Cap Town. The wine tasting venue combines maturing wine in casks with one of the most beautiful wooden counters you will find anywhere. Charlotte made our wine tasting enjoyable and offered excellent information and advice. Tasters can select from more than one tasting selection and purchase wine at cellar prices. Make sure you taste the MCCs (Matriarch and Grande Matriarch) and especially the Calligraphy. Don't forget to buy your wine soonest as stock sells out really quickly. For example, Semillon is already sold out. If you're hungry you can get a bite to eat at the informal Tables (which is very family friendly) or the fine dining Cassia on-site.

I recently celebrated my 25th birthday at blomendal it was nothing short of amazing. The entire process with the help of Thuli & Samantha was absolutely relaxed and superb... up until the day with Zante and team. My guests loved the venue, food, hospitality and ambiance of Bedouin tent at Blomendal. Apart from being great hosts the team did exceeded my expectations with all their little touches. This venue and wine farm is definite must for all wine goers looking for a fabulous and relaxed style.

We had a couples back massage. They've started at your feet, up the carves, legs, then got onto your back. The whole experience was good, but we felt that they have massage too hard. We were very sore afterwards and my husband was brushed on his back. It was a great 30 minutes, but thought it would be more relaxing and not as sore as it was, which has put a bit of a damper on the experience.
