Went to a dinner meeting held at the restaurant. Had pre-ordered a vegetarian meal. Waiters kept trying to bring me the chicken dish despite my having the ticket clearly laid out at my place setting. There was a salad - fresh but skimpy on quantity, rolls that were ice cold, a few plantain chips, skimpy on quantity, then I was made to wait 45 min after every one else was served to get my vegetarian food. I thought they forgot about my meal! No apologies, no update, finally brought it out and it was just a larger portion of the pasta side they served everyone else! So why did it take an extra 45 min??? I can only assume extremely poor planning. No refills on the water, a poor man at our table was coughing and he had to drink water from another guest's glass..since no waiter would come by. Just horrible service. And the vegetarian food was mediocre and not nutritious. The organizers of the event should get their money back for the pathetic meal I was served..an hour late....:(

My wife and I stopped for lunch while out running errands. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was very good. My wife ordered a sirloin steak, which she thought was over cooked, but still edible. The service was good at first, but the waiter basically disappeared after our entrees were served. There were no refills for our ice tea, and we had to wait 15-20 minutes for him to retrieve the bill and payment. We showed him a coupon on our phone, which he promised to apply to the bill but never did. This lack of service might have been overlooked if the restaurant and waiter were very busy, but the restaurant was practically empty during the latter half of our meal. It will likely be a very long time before we return to the particular restaurant.

Very pleasant restaurant with excellent wait staff. Went for dinner. One of us ordered the grilled shrimp platter with asparagus. Came with 6 shrimp and 8 spears of asparagus. Nothing else. No sauce for either the shrimp or the asparagus, just grilled. Cost $29.95.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I had their small rib eye and it was cooked just as I ordered. It came with onion strings and an interesting dipping sauce. The salad was fresh and the ingredients were tasty. The cheese on the salad did not add anything and I would have preferred more greens. All in all it was a very good meal at a reasonable price. My waiter was good and the serving was done tag team, The use of alternate waiters worked well. Even though it was early they had a good crowd. They had a wine special which I took advantage of. I would freely recommend this place.

We had a birthday party here.Event was well planned out. First, Avenida offered a very detailed selection of food, entertainment, and room.The staff was extremely effecient and food arrived on time. The 15 meat selection was enjoyed by all.We had 34 people who all have stated this dinner was so wonderful and a beautiful and delicious event. The entertainment that we selected was a caricature artist, in everyone loved that period the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful in making sure all 34 people receive the food they wanted in all the food they wanted. We were not rushed. The room was allowed to be decorated by family and it was beautiful. I cannot state how wonderful the food was and how wonderful the facility and staff was. Avenida was a outstanding and gets my 100% recommendation to host a special event or a birthday party at this Avenida's facility.Thank you for the 5 star review and recommendation, Robert. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to have lunch here this past week. Have been to several other Perryâs for dinner and this location lived up to the reputation. I had the pork chop lunch and was not disappointed. A huge portion with tons of flavor. Our waiter was outstanding and very prompt. I look forward to returning to this location.
