I've been here twice (last year and this year) for business dinner. Both times really good food and very good service.Even though the communication with the waiter is sometimes difficult (I don't speak Spanish, they only speak little English), everything was working really well and they really try to serve you best.Good choice!

My first comment is to be aware that this restaurant doesnt do a set menu unlike others nearby, and that the waiter although being very charming was recommending (trying to sell us) the most expensive things eg. drinks. We did take the risk ourselves though as menu and prices not shown on website. We left satisfied, but not full. Food that we did get was delicious and all freshly cooked. Prices in euros:3.95 per small lamb chop (minimum order 4)steak - 19pimientos asados - served cold - 7chorizo asado - 8bread which was provided without ordering - 1.95 eachcaraffe of local wine - 8deserts - 4 each I had visited neighbouring 'los olivares' earlier in the year and recieved all in drinks and food for 29 euros. El espada is very clean, and a high quality setting although price to quality of food is not as great.

We have driven past here for over 1 year and visited for the first time today. Really impressed, from arrival to departure the staff were professional and responsive, recommending some excellent dishes we would not have chosen and which were superb. As a table of 3 people we each ordered something different and each dish was very well cooked and served promptly. The ingredients were good and fresh - the beef, pork & prawns superb.Wine list is good without being exceptional.Interior & exterior is traditionally Spanish. The interior is warm and inviting with an excellent collection of Atleticó de Madrid memorabilia (not Real Madrid as an earlier review commented!).

We had a wonderful experience in this place! We were served by the owners and the service was just amazing. We will be back soon to eat Cabrito

If you like meat it is place for you.Place itself is beautiful, especially wine basement at the back of the Restaurant. Natural candle light makes it more attractive and elegant.Food is delicious but you must like meat, otherwise it is pointless to go there. One big con - waiter who served us.. he didn't like his job and wasn't hiding it.Beside that waiter and the fact it's pretty expensive it is really worth visit.

We found this nice and very we'll known place in the area by coincidence when looking for some really good Chivito barbecue and we found what we were looking for at this nice country place. It is actually one of the most famous and oldest places in town, and everyone from the neighborhood can guide or accompany you there. Food quality is excellent, as you will expect for such a well known place, on the other hand, and of course the atmosphere remembers of a great get together of a family on a Saturday afternoon... Enjoy great traditional food in a fantastic spot at the country side of Madrid.

Araceli restaurant is not far from my home, but had never gone before. It was recommended as an expensive place, but good. And it was actually a fantastic place, with a great service, a well balanced menu and simply amazing food. Traditional Castilian food prepared at its best. Croquettes, salads, vegetables, hake, meat, desserts... anything is perfect here and you will never be disappointed. Waiters were also attentive and very professional. The atmosphere was elegant though classic rustic Castilian. And it is pricey (around 50 EUR per person), yes, but you will get a lot of value for your money.
