Discover Restaurants offering the best Spanish food in Amecameca, Estado de Mexico, Mexico. Amecameca (formally Amecameca de Juárez) is a town and municipality located in the eastern panhandle of Mexico State between Mexico City and the Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl volcanos of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It is located on federal highway 115 which leads to Cuautla, which is called the Volcano Route (Ruta de los Volcanes). This area is popular with weekend visitors from Mexico City, Puebla and Morelos to enjoy the scenery of the mountains, eat local foods, visit the Sanctuary of the Señor del Sacromonte, the Panoaya Hacienda and other attractions. However, when Popocatépetl is active, tourism here drops dramatically. The area receives a large number of visitors during the annual Carnival/Festival del Señor del Sacromonte, which extends over the week containing Ash Wednesday and is considered to be one of the most important festivals in Mexico State.

We tried the red soup with seafood, fish ceviche, spaghetti seafood del mare, and terrific langostinos. Would do this all over again. Wonderful wait staff!

We visited twice and the food was excellent. Fresh baked pastries and all kinds of egg dishes and more are available. Service was too notch. But the setting is what sets this place apart. Located in an old mansion just a few blocks from the Zocalo, it gives a hint of how royalty lived not that long ago. An elegant place to dine. Highly recommended, just wish they were open later. Seems to serve just breakfast and lunch. If I recall correctly, they lose at 4 oâclock.

Discover the perfect blend of authentic Mexican food and the originality of a sophisticated culinary concept. A tequila bar and grill that serves both our spirits and cocktails as well as exceptional Mexican dishes and a variety of seafood, steaks, salads
I canât say enough about this place. We loved the foodâevery biteâand enjoyed the staff, every one of which knew all about the dishes they were serving. My wife had the mole enchiladas and I had the chipotle âhongoâ enchiladas. Both were excellent; but the appetizers were the pinnacle of our dinner: their special cheese dish (called âOcosingoâ or something like that and the âmixtoâ ceviche. They served us three different salsas that were unique and uncommonly tasty. Everything was just scrumptious. Weâll be back!

Da Silva is famous for its bakery, my personal [all-time] favorite being the chocolatin. However, this Da SILVA store offers food as well. The chilaquilies were great- one my favorites that Iâve eaten. I noticed another poster wrote that the portions were small, and I would agree with this comment, but I felt full and very pleased with my decision to eat here.Very nice, lovely café environment, good service and delicious food.
