I dined here twice with a tour group and we had some amazing buffet lunches. The meat was perfectly cooked and marinated. The grilled vegetables, rice, and plantains were all delicious. There were stands with people selling beautiful handmade crafts. I bought a glass blown sloth necklace and gorgeous golden scorpion shaped earrings. Outside was the highlight. We saw some sloths, an emerald basilisk (and a few other types of lizards), native birds, and some poison dart tree frogs. I loved both visits and highly recommend it!

We found the restaurant through Trip Advisor. The restaurant is finely decorated with beautiful jungle views. We watched monkeys and toucans move through the trees while enjoying our margaritas and appetizers. The service was excellent in the beginning, but was a little slow once the restaurant became busy. Gourmet food in Costa Rica can be pricey, so we were surprised by the prices. With three adults we each had a Strawberry Margarita (yum), a beer, an appetizer, an entree, and we split two desserts--all for $100. The Escargot was some of the best I have ever had and the Avocado Spring Rolls were delightful. For entrees the Churrasco Beef and the Seabass with Capers were our favorite and we finished the meal with Creme Brulee and Cheescake with Passion Fruit Sauce. Every bite was delicious.

We recently spent 15 days in CR and this restaurant was an oasis in a desert of generally overpriced and overcomplicated food. The food was delicious, inexpensive and simple. It has breathtaking views, clean kitchens and friendly service. If you are ever passing - we were on route from San Isidro to Manuel Antonio - make an effort to eat here - personally I would go out of my way to re-visit. They served the best quesadillas we had all holiday and prices were reminiscent of a bygone eraThoroughly recommended. This was the highlight of our holiday; well... apart from Scarlet macaws, Resplendent quetzals, stunningly beautiful countryside, climate, monkeys, rivers, mountains, sloths, oceans, beaches, tropical plants, the people, the sunshine...etc..etc.
If you plan on traveling to CR in the Dominical/Uvita area, this is the place to stay- you will find that unless you speak fluent Spanish, its somewhat awkward to communicate- but NOT here, this is one of the few places in Dominical that is predominantly English speaking. Jo the Owner is the best! The Bar Staff to the Room Maids everyone here is so friendly and make you feel welcome right away! Beautiful Location between the River and Ocean - plenty of bird watching** We saw a Macaw in flight* -- This is the Life! Pura Vida -

Ordered two fish sandwich plates. Unfortunately the kitchen only prepared one, but was enough for two people to share. Was delicious! Service was attentive, beautiful view, and peaceful atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth the view.
