Discover Restaurants offering the best Soups food in Vernazza, Liguria, Italy. With Cinque Terre’s only proper harbor, Vernazza has a long history as a fishing village. While there is a small beach, sightseeing is more common in this astoundingly beautiful cliffside town. Highlights include the 16th-century Belforte Tower (which offers incredible views of the area), the 11th-century Doria Castle and the 14th-century Santa Margherita d'Antiochia church. It involves a steep hike, but the shrine at Nostra Signora Di Reggio (Our Lady of Reggio) is well worth it.

Another great recommendation from our hotel receptionist. We ordered caprese salad, veal with mushroom and onion gravy and the best handmade two-toned squid ink pasta with mussels and sauce! As others have commented, we too were in awe of the nearby tables and the huge ewers of seafood stew being served!

While the service can be spotty for some people, it was really good for us this year. The food was consistently good and they have the best gnocchi in the village. Huge fluffy pillows of wonderfulness with either a bolognese or pesto. We try and sit over on the side area as it is a bit quieter and better people watching and, since the weather was great, we didnât have to go inside. Prices are reasonable and the location is very central.

The location is central and by the harbour which is nice. The food is okay, but you are paying more for the location than for its quality. Bathroom could have been nicer.

You can book for an inside table (air conditioned), or get there early or wait for a street table. We booked an inside table, but when we got there at 19:30, there were street tables available, so we grabbed one. There are seats available while you wait and by 20:30 there were 4 couples waiting for perhaps 20 mins each. Not sure why we all want to eat on a busy street, but we do.All the food we saw looked lovely. We decided on a pasta - fest. We shared a house special - slices of pasta in a pesto sauce. One each would be too much unless you are really hungry. It was gorgeous and we cleared the plate. Then we both had the seafood ravioli with shrimp and sea bass. We washed it down with a carafe of the house local red (not subtle but very quaffable). No deserts for us, but I finished things off with a double espresso and a pine nut liquor. The total bill was â¬71. The service was slick and friendly.Superb.

Service was good and the food was as good as much higher priced restaurants in Vernazza. Given that this was the high season in a lovely but expensive tourist trap, it was good value for money. My husband had spaghetti with anchovies which he thought was better than the restaurant in the main square.

Tipico locale ligure a gestione familiare a trenta metri dal mare, esperienza decennale, piatti tipici della tradizione ligure cucinati con semplicita e passione!
My husband and I visited LâOsteria this week and were very impressed by the food! We shared a gorgeous pasta dish with clams and courgette. The best Iâve tasted anywhere. I had the baked sea bass with vegetables and potatoes - so fresh, absolutely superb! My husband had an excellent filet steak in pepper sauce - came with some rocket. He likes his steaks rare and this was cooked to perfection! We finished with homemade desserts of pana cotta and tiramisu, both which were very good. The bottle of local wine at 18 euros was very pleasant. Why not a 5? Well, the service was a little disjointed. We had to ask to see the dessert menu after waiting 20mins. We werenât offered coffee so gave up. Asked for the bill which didnât come so went to till and paid. They were very busy both inside and out so I sympathise with the staff. However, a bit of tightening up wouldnât come amiss.
